Ok, ok first of all, everyone breath. Cool. Now let’s check. Melbourne experiencing four seasons in one day? Check. Shane Warne caught out again? Check. Running my own business continuing to be challenging? Check. Darren Stones steering the good ship RB around icebergs with a confident if not somewhat alcohol induced flourish? Check. Some people on some distant journal thread arguing about freedom of speech as if RB is the most vital instrument for world peace on earth. Whilst slandering, vilifying and taunting each other with racial, overworked cliches from behind psuedo names? Check. So nothing new or unusual about today then? Un check. What the… Check this… Today in seperate orders people have bought… 1 canvas print of shoe woman plus 20 cards of shoe woman 150 cards of mother & child 25 cards of Possibility II 25 cards of the congo skipping kids & a further 26 of these 20 cards of this beauty 5 cards of these guys 5 cards of these little ones 2 cards of this chap 2 cards of this dude 2 cards of this princess 5 cards of this piece of possibility and 2 cards of this beautiful, precious boy I don’t know anything much about freedom of speech, flags, philosophy or anything like the stuff that’s been going on here this week. But I’ll tell you all ONE VERY IMPORTANT THING. These purchases will save lives. These people live on less than a dollar a day. They live in slums, gutters and sheds made of flattened alluminium cans. The love, they laugh, they dream – they dodge bullets, they run as fast as they can from rapists usually unsuccessfully, they starve and they cry. Every cent of revenue goes to them and the brave souls who live in a war zone to help them. They couldn’t give a rats about flags, and virtual slanging matches. They live on the real edge. I didn’t cry once in Africa. Right now I am sitting here drowning in tears. Maybe change is possible? Even the tiniest bit?? Thanks RB – thanks whoever. EDIT: SEEMS LIKE A GOOD TIME TO DEBUT THIS FELLA. Oh and thinking of turning some of these into Chrissy cards if anyone’s interested.

We had just been talking with some of the patients at the hospital in Goma, DR Congo. Every now and then my friend Rebecca Zachariah would dissapear. She’s a Doctor so I figured she was off to see a patient. Well she was but not just for medical reasons. Bec had bought a whole lot of stuffed toys from home. Squeezed them into her pack somehow. Then during the trip, she would nick off quietly every now and then and present a little child with a furry friend. No fanfare. She didn’t even tell me until half way through the trip. These kids hardly have any clothes and certainly have little food. In the case of this gorgeous little girl the only thing we were sure she had was polio. Well at the very least after we left she had a furry bear as well. And do you think she was going to let go of it? I thought this would be a nice card to illustrate the old cliche, “A woman’s work is never done,” and to honor women everywhere who work hard at home, on the job, within the family circle, in the community, in the church, in public service. This energetic little Eastern bluebird female exemplifies an honorable work ethic in her diligence at nest-building. (Note the bedraggled look of poor little Mama’s feathers; temperatures were in the 90s and she was really feeling the heat and humidity! Just about the same concept as a housewife sweating over the stove or the ironing board!)

I posted a photograph of a Great Horned Owl a few days ago for a challenge, in commentary I asked Way of the Warrior if he could do his ‘magic touch’ on it and the collaboration began… / He did 4 beautiful edits with the 2 photos I sent him and this was my favorite! WindOwl is my ‘handle’, spirit name and who I aspire to be… / The Wind is a force of Nature, air in natural motion – an influential force or trend that touches everything in its path, sometimes a gentle breeze and other times, as a hurricane. / The Owl is a bird of prey, long associated with wisdom and truth, honoring intuition, using discernment, outsmarting deception and trusting first impressions. / Together, my intentions are ultimately aspiring to help others transition and transform into who they aspire to be… The Three Faces of Owl / The wisest of the bird clan, awakening to honor Grandfather Sun – then sleeping, while Mother Nature unleashes her wondrous glory, upon unseeing eyes and broken promises, from the gray matter, we Humans call Truth. You all have brought a great warm welling feeling for me and that of eternal gratitude and humility. / You are all such wondeful people I am in the low mountains at an area called Toten by the town Gjoevik, Recouping 14 days to 3 weeks, good food alot of rest and training here. Waking up in the dark of the night / feeling sores healing / no sleep without something / a thankkyou you to you all / a painkiller and back to sleep / Be back soon take care . .

As I look upon every experience that I’ve ever had, and everyone who has ever played any role in my life, as having been sent to me for my benefit…I am truly grateful that in this Universe, which was created by a divine, organizing intelligence, there are simply no accidents, while I learn to appreciate everything and everyone…like you ;) Appreciate I appreciate all here on RB that make each day special and worth being alive for – I love you!!!

ORIGINAL $2,800 plus postage and handling OK – I will try to keep this brief, but there will end up being a journal entry about dreaming sometime! LOL! Short version? Rolled over in bed one morning, yawned, opened my eyes and there standing at the side of my bed is this beautiful medicine woman with a wolf. “Paint this”, she said and the image was there in my mind. I was still working on the otters and seals celtic crosses and so had to finish them off. While I was doing that, the original vision morphed into the one you see before you. This mandala painted itself. The big powerful ones do. There is so much power in this painting that when I finished it and sat back to look at it, I cried. They were tears of gratitude and thanks. This is my gift to all for the New Year… Thank You Great Spirit for the gift that runs through me. Thank You for the joy it brings, for the power it bestows, for the healing… Thank You. I am blessed beyond all imagining. / Thank You. I am grateful for every breath I take, for all that I am, for all that I have. / I Thank You… From the campfire burning in the centre… / The four medicine women stand in the four directions. East with Eagle, South with Coyote, West with Bear, North with Buffalo. The hand prints to each side have the animals paw/talon prints overlaid – we are all one! Beneath each are the symbols I saw – Golden Door to the East, Talking Stick to the South, Drum to the West, Sacred Pipe to the North. The moons in their phases… / The Red Road encircling… The arrows leading out to golden bows… The Blue Road encompassing it all… The original is one metre square canvas gallery wrap, acrylic with metallic overlay.

The time is upon us, yet again, as we look within ourselves to find the new source of Light and regeneration. The Light returns as the Sun shifts and starts moving northward again…Winter! / In the circle of life, Winter represents the North direction, the place of our elders, the ancestors and knowledge. It is the time to honor our growth, by celebrating it and sharing it with others. It is the time when Nature throws you into yourself, so that you have to explore territory that might otherwise be unfamiliar. During this time, we acknowledge the Mother Earth’s renewal, when she’s lying dormant, seemingly asleep and the seeds of one season lie in the Earth energy that will allow them to burst forth into new life, when the warmth of the Sun returns from the South to warm her. / We gather our family and friends together to share and experience the knowledge of “All the Ages”, combining our strengths, talents and abilities to achieve Peace, Balance and Harmony… Seasons of the Heart Wishing each and everyone a Blessed Season of Joy, brotherhood/sisterhood and PEACE!!! Rainbows represent perfect balance and harmony, completion, health and wholeness. As we see them, we have come through difficult lessons and done a good job and our higher self is well pleased. / Ripples, like throwing a stone into water, creates an emanating circle of one ripple touching another, and another, touching another endlessly… / As I photographed this rainbow, I was reminded that my chosen path has always led me safely through difficulties, so that I may guide another through the same or similar difficulty – a connection of completion by sharing life’s trials and tribulations without dweeling upon them – but releasing them like the stone that sinks to the bottom of the pond, yet creating an endless touching circle of relationship and paying it forward. / The rainbow bridge across this redbubble site has had a remarkable rippling affect on me and the connections of human-beings I feel so akin to, for this I’m grateful and hopeful that it continues to touch me deeper… Love can build a bridge Photo enhanced in Photoshop7 with Water ripple from redfield plug-in

This standing being once rooted deep in the Earth / the rivers’ waters ran high, uprooted her for rebirth A magical aura surrounds her form, in remains / as she respectfully identifies our humble domain At her base sits the medicine and strength of the Bear / whose introspective instinct fares none to compare Great Horned Owl, the largest of all night birds / guarding with discernment and outsmarting the absurd Enduring Elk supports our stamina and health / reminding us our persistence and hope brings wealth Our four-legged teachers, like the wise old wolf / taught us new paths and options, as the old were engulfed Secretive Bobcat, in her stillness, does silently watch / honoring mindfulness, with no dogma to debauch The great Buffalo reminds us scarcity is based upon fear / to be released and make way for abundance is made quite clear Atop the embodiment of Spirit, as the Eagle does soar / the freedom of oneness and connecting without keeping score Owl in the Moon oversees winds of ever-present change / whilst the realm of our ancestors broaden their range Clawed, winged, finned and even those who crawl / are akin upon Earth, as I avow never to intentionally maul As one score has passed, opening this brethrens’ door / to these medicine creatures, I gratefully accept much more than folklore. Playing with another mandala, in between working/publishing a JOURNAL manuscript, I was torn for naming and lacking for a story to accompany… / Low and behold, my sister Sally Omar posted an amazing writing called Dancing Rainbows, which in words and feelings matched it to a tee. So without further ado… I danced with a rainbow / and it danced with me / I realized what love was / and I was finally free a breeze joined us / the birds sang their song / I realized what grace was / nothing was wrong the angels were humming / the doves took flight / my life flashed before me / I didn’t sleep that night I thought of the trials / the tribulations I’ve seen / and then there was the beauty / mixed in between a heart is a heart / meant to understand / a soul is a soul / please hold my hand travel through beauty / turn your head from hate / we are the masters / of our own fate.
