The Vigilant When no land was secure, this stone-made giants assured that the next day wouldn’t be made of captivity and suffering. Strategically placed, these strongholds were the ones who held a country’s name and honour during times of war. Fortunately we are in times of peace, and it’s amazing to step on the luxurious grass, and hear the wind while gazing such gorgeous castle. I can hear the church’s bells far away, a child laughter near, and the sound of the sheeps right in front of me. Yet… the sense of respect is omnipresent, and the scent of bravery still lives here… This is Castelo do Lindoso in the north of Portugal, on Serra do Gerês. José Ramos
Wild flowers lead the eye to a small house an ominous clouds
Taken this afternoon after a small storm came through. Thought I’d go for a bit of juxtaposition… I should add that this was taken during a break in studying for my final year exams at uni. I guess no matter what’s going on around you, always shine on… Location: Kings Tablelands, Wentworth Falls
Took it today as a huge storm was rolling in. It’s still IR. / / / / / / /
This old Chev sits awaiting a promise of restoration, meantime it catches the raindrops of a passing thunderstorm.
Genesis 9:12-14 (New King James Version) 12. And God said: “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13. I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; / God’s Promise to Noah, after The Great Flood !! This truly was one of those “Magic of the Moment” times from God, a Divine Appointment, being in the right place at the right time, with no added special effects, all natural light !!!! Pentax istDS Camera The Covenant / Author: martin steinbrugger Having once beheld His glory shinning down from above… / My drought stricken life is now as a reservoir, / Constantly being renewed with God’s love. There’s only a remnant here and there of my barren past… / For behold God’s promise to heal and renew, / Is most certainly coming too pass. Water of life overflowing my soul… / Bringing forth the blessing and joy of knowing, / It is not I, but God who is in control. Covenant blessing under His bow shall I kneel… / For it is by His stripes and His stripes alone, / That my wounded soul has been healed. I took this shot from the Windsor turf farms today while following a storm which hit about 5 minutes later.. It is an HDR shot and I think HDR was the right choice as it shows details in both the sky and landscape.. / I have always wanted to try and get a storm shot while down at the turf farms because the scene just looks so typically australian to me.. / I decided to include the gate to break up the scene a bit and add something more to view than just turf and the sky.. / Anyway as usual all comments and/or thoughts are welcome.. / Thanks for having a look! Time for another expression for my love of rain! The background is a 22in x 28in acrylic painting with slight alterations, mainly colour and blurring. The original contains 4 pink flowers, but they didn’t cut it so I photoshopped them out. The light effect is a result of the camera flash. The rain, child, and porch railing are photoshop.

This artwork was featured in Outsiders I didn’t plan on ever uploading this, but I’ve really come to like it. I’ve had it as my desktop background for a few days, and, despite its simplicity, I really enjoy it. This is a photo of a painting (original too big to scan) with slight colour changes made in Photoshop. The light effect was caused by the camera flash, and I thnk it works even better than the way it was painted. Used as background for Wish Upon The Rain
I caught up with my thoughts just before Greytown, the storm caught up with me shortly after.
The clouds were gathering over the sea, with the sun just shining through, when I took this shot at Church Cove, near Gunwalloe, looking towards Poldhu Cove, which is between Helston and Mullion on the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall. / Taken on the 2nd October ‘08. Thanks for looking. / Hope you like it. Best Viewed Large.
