This is another image from the series of infrared shots that I took from the banks of the local river today.. However instead of focusing on the water, I decided to turn around and shoot the hill behind me as I knew that the tree in the centre would turn out bright white compared to the rest of the trees and I knew the grass would turn out well.. / Hope you like it!

I don’t usually do IR shots with people or animals, but this horse was kind enough to stay still for me for 2 seconds. ......................................................................................................... Bored in a stable with nothing to do. / We make a game of throwing our shoes. / Lead me to water, but not to the track. / Show me a saddle and I’ll say, “Hey get off my back.” / All in favor (all in favor) say “Nay!” / We like the flavor of (we like the flavor of) hay. / We’re gonna graze all of our days. / Until they take us away and turn us into glue. / Like Mr. Ed always said… May the horse be with you. May the horse be with you. / May the Horse be with you everyday. / I trot by the fillies (they like me of course). / They all dig my band (yea I’m a rocking horse). / You gotta take off your spurs to ride me you know. / If you want me to stop then yell out “Whoa”. / All in favor (all in favor) say “Nay!” / We like the flavor of (we like the flavor of) ha / .............................. (“May The Horse Be With You” by Relient K) / / / / /

Oh, how silly horses can be. They have hay and a barn but they choose to be out in the snow. I love the snow flying in this shot. It was cold but worth it I think.

An IR shot of two horses. / Luckily they both stood still for the 2 sec’s I needed them to.

The doe took a little time off from busy eating for the photo opportunity, although she didn’t want to give up the tasty colorful leaf. By now everyone who has ever seen my work knows that I’m absolutely “addicted” to develop a deep relationship and establish an intimate communication with mule deer (we don’t have a lot of white-tailed deer around here). Everyday I go out there in the early mornings, hoping to have a close encounter! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

One of my favourite spots for taking IR shots. Let me know if t I should find somewhere else…..

I was snowshoeing when I found Umptanum Creek dribbling into the Yakima River and along the shores I found this one blade of grass still covered in frost among the ice and moving water, kneeling in the ice and water to get this shot which no more than 6” from top to bottom I hope was worth it!

Garden Of the Gods Park, outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is without a doubt one of my all time favorite places to shoot at….the light there just dances, especially during the golden hours just after sunrise…..Pike’s Peak is in the background, with the wind blowing the snow into the sky. / Thoughts welcomed! My dog River posing for a portrait in the snow. She has ALWAYS liked her picture being taken since she barely opened her eyes at two weeks of age. Her litter mates ran around when the camera aimed at them but she stood in attention every time a photo opportunity showed up! :) I’m sure she’d be glad that I donate the proceed of the sale of her photos to Nature Canada as she loves woods and her deer friends as much as I do! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.

A serene winter still life, taken on a back road not very far from my home.

I thought this one looked like it had just snowed and the tractor could have been the snow plough….and to think it was 25 degrees when I shot this today.
