This is a collaboration between my daughter, Brianna (13), and myself. :) She’s a fantastic photographer for her age..she amazes me much of the time. She showed me this photo that she took, and I begged her to let me work on it. :) (yes…I had to beg! Teenagers..ya know?) Anyway, she’s been studying Japanese for a little over 2 years now, so when I asked her what we should call it, she said simply: ki. / Japanese for tree.. / / / >featured< / homepage / / /

I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons.

This is my ” Dream Home” and has been for a rather long while now. It sits right across the street from my friends house, so I see it often. Some find this home scary looking, but I find it intriguing….very much so.

At the end of a sunrise shoot at Charlottes Pass, Kosciuszko National Park, one cold autumn morning, the sun was catching the frost and that caught my eye – luckily I had a sleeping mat with me to lie on to get down and get this perspective. (brrrrrr!!!!) Taken on slide film and Cross Processed, then scanned…

She hates photos, hates the camera…so i was stoked when she agreed to go with us. So, we spent the afternoon @ different locations just taking different shots of her and her sisters..I now have over 100 images of her from today on my computer…The only other recent photos i have are her school photos, / She lives with my mother-her grandmother, and has done since she was approx 4 years old.. She lives just around the corner but we really don’t see her that much :( / She is a teenager, and is growing up and im sad to say i miss her. Thankyou Mika for making today extra special to me..it will be a day i remember for a long time, and now i have some images to go with the memories. This was taken late 06 on a south bound snow mission in new zealand, it was blowing 90+km wind, my friend would not get out of the car, so i had to put my tripod hard up agaisnt me and hang on!!!!.....................hard work pays off eh??!!....
