  • A macro shot of dew droplets formed on a blade of grass

  • walking along looking for something to shoot, i noticed this white object on a blade of grass, after closer inspection i noticed it was a catapillar. i shot this using a nikon diopter lens attached to a canon 75-300mm lens

  • ...the multitude of droplets made their journey along the magical thoroughfare… Abstracts and Artsy Architecture Landscapes and Nature Street Tasmania

  • I love the detail in these along with their complexity.

  • (macro shot of the tiny purple blue wild flowers found every Spring…set on a black background) Blue Eyed Grass / Sisyrinchium campestre albiflorum / This tender perennial plant grows best in stable prairies but can survive in disturbed areas. Grass-like in appearance it holds pale blue star shaped flowers near the top of the slender flattened stems. Alkaline soil conditions will produce white flowers. The petals open with sunlight, close at night and are an attractive addition to any garden. Does best in full sunlight but will tolerate some shade and well-drained soils.

  • A little grasshopper on red lily outside my home. MY BUBBLESITE

  • I grew these marigold myself… to me they look like orange candy.

  • ...in the grass kissing…

  • A part of a small spider web I found in the grass, covered with Dew. Post-processing: / Adjusted the contrast a bit in camera raw. Added a black and white layer with a light green tint set to overlay (100%), a black and white layer set to screen (20%) and lightened and turned up the contrast a bit with curves. Cropped and sharpened.

  • It actually rained in Melbourne today – seriously – providing a very rare opportunity to get outside and try to find some images of REAL raindrops…. I feel SOOOO out of practice at this! An untouched image of a tiny raindrop just balancing between two grass-seeds emerging from a blade of grass… Sony Alpha 350, Sony 100mm Macro Lens, Focal Length 100mm, f2.8 @ 1/125 Sec Exp, ISO 100, Handheld. FEATURED IN ‘OUTSIDERS’!

  • Taken with My Canon Power Shot 3.2 mp’s, in Citrus Fla

  • This diminutive violet (Viola Pratincola) is a native perennial plant that grows in northern areas in the US and southern Canada. This very tiny “weed” looks like a pail purple spot in grassy areas. Very close inspection reveals a gorgeous little “treat”. This miniscule flower is no larger than my finger nail, but a powerful macro lens reveals a gorgeous example of mother’s art! Without a magnifying lens, you would never know how beautiful this little flower really is. This photo was taken “handheld” on May 2nd in central Pennsylvania, using a Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact-Macro lens with a Canon “Life-Size” adapter, mounted on a Canon EOS 10D camera. The shutter speed was 1/60th sec @ f/11. The camera’s ISO was set to 400. This image has been cropped slightly in height, otherwise it is untouched. © 2009 Gene Walls All copyright and reproduction rights are retained by the artist. • “We are more closely connected to the invisible than to the visible.” ~Novalis

  • Dew in the late morning on the lawn I should have mowed on the weekend! Taken in my backyard Kwinana Western Australia using an Olympus E-410

  • I think we all feel small and insignificant sometimes… Someone told me that if you look closely at the droplet you can see a man and a woman inside, you need to look at the picture in large view, and use a lot of imagination lol!! ;-) But I think I can see them! My garden Kwinana Western Australia. Olympus E -410

  • A grasshopper of orange tiger lily! / Captured with a Canon Rebel XT w/ 18-55mm zoom lens. / Photo cropped and re-sized from the original.

  • This lovely plant thrives in Waterton Lakes National Park in southern Alberta, Canada- in fact it is only found in the extreme southwest of the province. The Blackfoot First Nation used this plant for medicinal and practical purposes- both to weave baskets and as an ingredient in a restorative poultice to ease sprains- and interestingly- as a hair tonic!! Canon Rebel XT and 100mm USM Canon Macro Lens f/2.8 ISO 200.

  • This grass was shimmering silver with the winter sun down down at Elkington Park in Balmain. Featured in Sydney’s Inner West Group – July 09 / Featured in Featured Features – August 09

  • An oldie shot with Canon 5D and 50mm / (playing with textures shot with class at BIA yesterday) /

  • This butterfly was clinging to a tall grass and i wondered if it was getting ready to start a long trip south for the winter. It rested long enough for me to use my macro lens for a close up. / Canon 40D / 100mm macro lens
