This is the second piece inspired by RICE and BEANZ in what seems to be the start of my first series. My model for this one is also my friend, Tracey but this time I felt a more watery and tattooed theme fit the work.
Today is a warm day here in northern Germany. / My young dog, aged 10 month, loves to be in the garden. But sometimes the sun is too much for her in her black fur. Because of that we bought her a little pool. When we started to fill it with some water, Olga, that’s her name, started to jump around us, trying to play with the water hose. We couldn’t stop laughing. I walked back inside to get my camera. Back in the garden again I found Olga, proud as only a dog can be, because she finally had captured her “prey”. That is the moment you can see on this image. It is not one of the best images here on RB – far from it to be correct – but it shows how difficult it can be to capture a black dog. This is one of the better images of Olga. This time I have got some details of her body because she lay in full sunlight. Inside the house I never get good images because she seems to melt into the surrounding. Anyway, I’m helplessly in love with this young lady and that is why I want to share this snapshot of her with you. You may ask what breed she is… I don’t know exactly but believe she is a mix out of a flatcoated retriever and a border collie.
