A friend in preparation for Mardi Gras Parade Sydney March 2007
Art inspired while listening to Crazy Train. Awesome song! Crazy Train I’ve listened to preachers / I’ve listened to fools / I’ve watched all the dropouts / Who make their own rules / One person conditioned to rule and control / The media sells it and you live the role Crazy Train

Mixed media illustration of the two deadly sins envy and lust. The sins are played out by skeletons and humanoid figures with skull heads that wear Mardi Gras masks.

This piece consists of a real mask (painted) and 2 photographs taken into photoshop and then merged and re-painted digitally in areas. I took them into photoshop and did a slight few changes. The eyes fot this piece are UNALTERED from the original photo…..which I believe is from a variety of squid tentacles. (Bottom suction cups of tentacles). It is an amazing photo…. of which I used just the one area of the suction pads for the stunning eyes in this piece!! I painted the rest around the face ard eyes and mouth the hand the earinga ans all else was digitally painted FEATURED IN UNCONVENTIONAL ARTISTRY / FEATURED IN DISABILITY AND BEAUTY / FEATURED IN A RISING STAR

Relieved, I let the book fall behind a stone. / I climb a slight rise of grass. / I do not want to disturb the ants / Who are walking single file up the fence post, / Carrying small white petals, / Casting shadows so frail that I can see through them. / I close my eyes for a moment and listen. / The old grasshoppers / Are tired, they leap heavily now, / Their thighs are burdened. / I want to hear them, they have clear sounds to make. / Then lovely, far off, a dark cricket begins / In the maple trees.
