This is an image created to illustrate an environmental portrait of an old camera called a “speed graphic”... the whole scene is meant to tell a story of the time the camera was used. I hope you enjoy this marvolous piece of photographic history.

Love the size of the fuselage, just has an amazing shape about it and the Iberia jet has a striking graphic nature… great looking plane, not so good an airline!

The centerpiece and inspiration for this design comes from the antique Rollieflex camera. I wanted to pay homage to the antiquity of photography, one of the newest, yet most popular current art forms. The orange coloring of the camera was inspired by the French style of painting where an outline was painted onto the canvas at first and colored later by an imprecise wash. I used a sans font for the main title, with modification, and mirrored it. Check out my design blog designbysolo.com to view photographs of a printed version of this and other prints.
