  • This shot was taken with a Canon AE1 35mm camera about 15 years ago and scanned into the computer. Then I tweaked it a little in Photoshop Elements 5 High on top of Carn Brea (700 feet above sea level) you will find Carn Brea Castle which looks out at some stunning views of the surrounding countryside of Cornwall. Redruth, Brea, Carnkie and Camborne are a few of the towns near by. The Castle itself can be traced back to 1379. It is a stone twin towered fortress, built by the Bassett family and is inside the ramparts of the Iron Age hill fort. It was probably built has a hunting lodge, or as a chapel to St Michael. It has been restored and extended over the years, and today has the look of a modern folly, rather than a medieval fort. The views from this spot are splendid, and you can see for miles on a bright evening. / All the Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted or Uploaded In Anyway Without My Permission. • One of the many stunning views from the top of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. I loved the patterns the clouds made on the ground.

  • Double layer of Angelica ,my grandaughter ,who’s going to be 7 years old in august and a macro of stone .

  • Late evening sunset at the Causeway, Victor Harbor, South Australia. Canon 400D 18-55, HDR 3 shot worked in Photomatix.

  • The Freycinet Peninsula, slices across the horizon as sunrise clouds explode overhead and the tides crash against the lichen cover rocks.

  • Sunset on the Yosemite Valley.

  • Late afternoon sun going down and standing on the reverse side of the Causeway to Granite Island South Australia. The light shining through under the structure from the setting sun was quite vibrant especially with the backdrop of a brooding winters sky. I know I have many images of this on my site but I just love the way it changes with every visit. Plus having my fathers ashes spread off the Causeway makes this a special place to visit. HDR merge of three images within photoshop.

  • ..even my shadow gains a sense of touch… Granite Bay Noosa National Park QLD Australia (Featured in Black and White Photography)

  • Canon EOS 30D This simple scene was taken at small crook in the River Findhorn at Ardclach in the Highlands of Scotland. It is here the river sweeps around a small church and graveyard in a tiny lowland area. So low, in fact, they built the bell tower on top of a neighbouring hill so that the sound could escape over the adjacent wards. The river is nearly always fast-flowing and can be very spectacular at flood. The way the waters interact with the shores and the odd defiant boulder has always fascinated me. I could watch for hours as the torrents ebb and flow over the granite hurdles with that wonderful, soothing sound that flowing water makes. I decided that a series of Black & White images of different intimate river scenes would be perfect for a study. The different types of stone that you find beside or in the river can be stunning with each having their own charactistics are remarkable in themselves. Put them with a fast flowing river taken at a long-ish exposure, the textures and contrasts that can be produced are an excellent subject for a monochrome project. In this one, the granite boulder in the foreground has been smoothed and honed over, what must be, centuries of erosion and has produced wonderful textures and patterns within it.

  • Another from my series of the Causeway at Victor Harbor South Australia – heading over to Granite island. Late afternoon light and the powerful storm came in from the Bluff. Canon 400D – Panorama stitch in Photoshop CS3.

  • Sun bursting through some morning clouds in Arthurs Bay, Magnetic Island ~ Nth. Queensland.

  • View from inside the Cocathedral St-Antoine-de-Padoue in Longueuil, Quebec built between 1884 and 1887. / This beautiful construction of gothic inspiration has been designed by two architects, Albert Mesnard and Henri-Maurice Perrault. There are two asymmetrical towers in front, a very rare occurrence in Canada, although there are a few in France. • Dawn view from Boroka Lookout, Grampians National Park. Part of the RedBubble Halls Gap weekend getaway.

  • I return to this exact spot a lot. I have to say it is one of my favorite places to take photographs. This canyon is one of nature’s great cathedrals. It’s hard to explain the feeling that comes over you when you are standing there staring out across the water…Especially during this time of year, when there is nobody else out there. You can have the whole place to yourself, or share it with someone special.

  • Elephants Rocks, Denmark, Western Australia. For Beth, my twin-sis. Another image from one of my favourite places. The day of our visit, it amazed me how many people stood on the top of these rocks and then turned back to the carpark, missing the view of the rocks from this point and all the wonderful coastline around the corner. Still, that means we had it to ourselves!! For enquires about canvas prints, or photographic prints larger than Redbubble options, please contact me via bubblemail

  • ALL SALE PROCEEDS GO TO THE VICTOR HARBOR PENGUIN CENTRE, GRANITE ISLAND. This little penguin is a resident of the Penguin Centre, Granite Island, Victor Harbor, South Australia. He is also known as a blue or fairy penguin. The penguin population on Granite Island has gone from 2000 to less that 170 in just 4 years! They are on the verge of completely disappearing. No one knows why and currently no research is being undertaken to find out why. The Penguin Centre runs on the generosity of 4 volunteers who care for 12 penguins who are in various stages of rehabilitation after being injured, attacked by dogs or rejected by their parents. The penguins nest in burrows and always hatch 2 eggs – a heir and spare. If the heir survives, the spare doesn’t get fed, so some of the penguins at the centre were the neglected ‘spares’. The centre does not receive any Government funding, instead it relies on admission fees from the public for the twice daily penguin feeding sessions. Recently I took a series of photos for the centre, with more to come next April when I return to Victor Harbor. It’s hardly enough. :( Check out the penguin centre here Penguin Centre Taken with Canon 5D and 100-400m L Series lens @ f9, 1/60th sec, ISO 250, handheld.
