This is 1 in a series of 12 from a collection of works I’m callin ” Weekend at Grandma’s ” The basic theme being some mischievous boys doing things from sneaking around to playing make believe , some being cute , some a lil dark ( we all know how lil boys can be ) . I’ll also add that I tried my best to keep the original designin its most basic pencil form , only adding in some effects and back grounds… I hope it comes off the way I hope it will . Santa’s Twisted Lil Helper … boys will be boys , and Lil Norman is no exception :)

Hello and welcome to my art work! *This is a 20 X 24 oil on canvas painting of my 3 granddaughters when they were small. It has won 2 ribbons at art shows, the last one being a 2nd place ribbon. It has been very hard to get a “good” photo of this painting because of all the black background, so these photos don’t do the picture justice but it’s the best I can do! :) * This was a real challenge for me because it was one of my first pictures and I was too naive to realize I was actually doing 3 portraits!!! :) I worked on this painting off and on for almost a year. I was told “the stripes will drive you crazy” and they almost did!! LOL Their mother had made their gowns and caps for their Christmas picture. I not only had the stripes to contend with but missing teeth in the first girl, biting lip in the second girl, and full teeth, hands on face, and pulling down lip on the 3rd one!!! LOL So I took many breaks and worked on other paintings in between times. This is of course my very favorite work for obvious reasons! :) The girls are all grown up now and very lovely women…2 married with 2 children each!! :) Thank you for stopping in to visit. I hope it was enjoyable. I appreciate all comments/suggestions… * May you all have a wonderful day and may God Bless you richly!! :) / / /

One of the questions this old grandmother asked me when I met her in October 2008. She is weak and very frail. She cares for 4 Grandchildren. Their Father is dead, and mother abandoned them in June 2008. We are setting up a care program to run in the Isolated villages, and networking with a few very small churches within the area. We need your Prayers and gifts. Do what you can to help. The Lord will bless your Prayers and giving. Please, even if you cannot sow a financial seed, Pray. +All Proceeds from Sales of art will go towards extreme poor, sick children and disabled isolated and rural villages in Africa +. I invite all to please visit my Mission Africa Charity website: http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Donate some of your art and save a child’s life!

An update on my baby Grandaughter. She is now 17 months old, I can’t believe how quick time has gone. She runs around causing havoc, she chatters non stop and is very very bossy and very very spoiled and I love the little cherub to bits. Now my eldest daughter has just told us she is expecting a new arrival in June, this will be her third. That will be four grandchildren, cant wait.
It was spring break and the zoo was filled with grandparents with their grandchildren. I don’t know who enjoyed the day more, my grandson Sebastian or me. We laughed with the chimps; we sang with the birds; we stopped in wonder and amazement to watch the mountain lion pacing in his enclosure, just inches away from us with only a glass wall to separate us. It was a glorious day filled with hot dogs, cotton candy, and the wonders of spring. Truly, our grandchildren make us young again! I’m blessed!
This photo of my grandchildren was taken on a blackberry and enhanced in photoshop…
Grandchildren are our sunflowers; they brighten our days and scatter seeds of new life just when we need to see the world with fresh eyes.
Taken on a day spent with me shortly before they depart to live in Darwin. / Near a favourite playground – in my neighbourhood – Wattle Park, South Australia. / At present it is not roped off and does not have any warning signs. I am wondering when someone will decide this wonderful old tractor is too dangerous to play on. Is it inevitable? I do so hope not! / The bright clothes were unplanned! / Nikon D90 Nikkor Micro 60mm Lens (I had planned on taking photos of mushrooms!!) / 1/100 F2.8 ISO 800 /

This is my mother and her great-grandaughter, Elizabeth Grace. I thought the look between the two really bridged the infamous generation gap. Sony CyberShot DSC-H7 HD1080
