  • Shot at the trainstation in Aarhus, Denmark in January – a train was leaving the station, and as I walked up along the carts, I noticed this guy sitting there. I moved a couple of carts ahead, put the viewfinder to my eye, waited for him to get in the picture – and snap.

  • Watching.....Waiting
    by Simon Gladwin

    US$5.13–US$136.80

/ This image was inspired by my Grandmothers house. My Grandmother had a very long garden….gorgeous lawn and flowers that led onto a vegetable garden at the bottom alongside an apple tree that I remember climbing and falling out of as a small boy…..picking the apples in the Autumn…great stuff. I also remember stuffing my sister up the tree when she was 3 and not letting her back down….how she howled! Anyway…..the bottom of the garden led to a wood that was kept at bay by a large stone wall in which there was a locked door. I used to terrify my sister with tales of goblins and monsters peering at her through the key hole…..and if she got too close they would reach over the wall, grab her and gobble her up! I told her this for two reasons….....one because I believed it and two…..I was an evil little bastard who wanted to terrify his sister….......It still scares me still!

    by Simon Gladwin

This is the effect that the TV + The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy has on my daughter…...I am told that the ladies underwear section of the Littlewoods catalogue and Kate Moss clutching rose petals to her knockers in that new perfume advert has the same effect on me….....even waving chocolate under her nose …...and I am led to believe that chocolate is suitable distraction therapy for all women….. won’t get her attention….. Captivation….......

  • See the light
    by ozczecho

    US$4.28–US$114.00

A planned get-together with a mate fell through. So instead my son and I went to the beach and took advantage of some magical light and conditions to capture the coast during winter time.    / For a very long time this image was my favourite. I was just amazed at how much light was absorbed by the wooden planks, contrast that with the smooth silky water. • Forgotten Childhood...
    by Kevin Kroeker

    US$3.56–US$95.00

I saw this rusted frame of a bike on the borders of this wheat field, when I saw it it reminded me of the times I spent as a kid wheeling around my own bike with a hockey card in the spokes and the flag raised high on the back and I even had a streamer or two flapping in the wind off my handlebars. To me this old rusted frame symbolizes the wonderful experiences of a fantastic childhood full of laughter, smiles and fond memories, but time is our enemy and for many of us it fades our once cherished memories to distant glimmers that flicker by on rare occasions, and like this old rusted frame are soon forgotten and will eventually fade completely. / / This replaces a previous version of the image Lost & Found. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

My Grandfather in the Dining Room

  • I did some abstract shots of a really interesting wooden door I found whilst out walking this morning with the family! I found the mix of ancient ironwork and wood combined with modern screws an understandable yet strange mix. I also liked the weathered look of the wood and the cracks it has obtained through its lifetime. I also liked the textures in the ironwork caused by rust and the way the rust had stained the wood. I hope you like it Simon
