  • Melbourne inner city laneway from a pub window,, hot, hot, late autumn, 2004.

  • Photography by Jenny Davis / Taken in Paris 2007 / This piece is connected to my interest in and continual research and documentation of underground spaces, surfaces, corners, crevices, signage ,graffiti ,consumer packaging etc . It’s all street art . Over many years I have used paint, photography and found objects to express myself in an abstract way, developing imagery from surfaces and spaces in urban and country enviroments worldwide. I am fascinated by the the beauty in the unseen, sometimes thought of as dirty and ugly

  • Traveling along a street in la Paz, mexico there was a very long cinderblock wall full of colorful graffitti. This one appealed to me.

  • Graffitti artists abound pretty much anywhere, and those in La Paz, Mexico who did this wall had an eye and hand for the work. note the orginal Coca Cola Sign and swirl.

  • The long winding wall in La Paz, Mexico displayed the work of graffitti artists, Mexican style, ful of color and bold stroked letters

  • One more example of the Mexican creativity expressed in graffitti on a wall in La Paz. There may be commercial talent hidden here.

  • Typically, people who put graffitti art on surfaces other than canvas do not sign their names.. Here in La Paz, Mexico, pride goeth before the fall.

  • Among the wall art in that stretch of La Paz is this piece commenorating some special date….or the date completed.

  • The Wall of graffitti in la paz serve up yet another art work of some young Mexican with a spray can of paint.

  • The imagination and skill of graffitti artists seems so basic, so simple. Inexpensive, readily available tools (spray paint) and a canvas whereever there’s a surface. Just how responsible is it?

  • In one section of cinderblock wall in la Paz, Mexico, it seemed as though it was a place to practice your art before graduating to a larger, more complex image on a bigger piece of wall

  • More wall art from that long, colorful street in La Paz.

  • La Paz graffitti artists have a field day on this stretch of wall, dusty, colorful and personal

  • For a back lane, AC/DC has a lot to offer, even during the day, without the clubs open. / Sony DSC-P73/P93

  • Taken in mono from the other side of The Outpost looking in / Contrast and lighting slightly adjusted. Canon EOS 400D / Canon Lens 18-55mm

  • My favorite painting in Hosier Lane. It was originally done by an artist from France a few years ago. I can’t remember her name. Earlier this year a couple of artists were repainting the wall but they said they could’t bear to cover this piece so they refreshed it.
