“I will not wish thee riches nor the glow of greatness, but that wherever thou go, some weary heart shall gladden at thy smile, or shadowed life know sunshine for awhile. And so thy path shall be a track of light, like angels’ footsteps passing through the night.” Words on a church wall in Upwaltham, England This is a digital collage – I used a photograph of a statue of the angel and child and a photograph of graffiti on a wall.
A candid street photograph taken in London 2008

I really like the way this old fire escpape hung down into this alley. / / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography
A photograph taken bushwalking, which became the perfect natural frame. The words were written after I lost my grandmother, one of those times when you re-evaluate your life.
This back alley was in quite a sad state… garbage and broken beer bottles were strewn about, all the windows on the ground level were smahed and boarded up. The walls were painted with graffiti that were illegible and faded with the passing of time. It was quite a fantastic spot! / / More in this series: / Urban Artist / / / Sandman / / / The Scribe / / / Tagged / / / Writing’s on the wall / / / The View / / / Bubblegum Graffiti / / / Marley / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography

sometimes you see things that make you skin crawl ….. and other times you see things that make you smile so much your face hurts….. like the juxtapostion of the graffiti and the for lease sign in the window of the shop front I was walking by…...

literally…... well maybe metaphorically as well…. although some days I figure I’m just going to hell in handbag anyhow so it really doesn’t much matter just some random graffitti on a little garden wall in Newtown in Sydney…. film of course
Taken inside Train’s Coming / This seems to be a popular style of decoration in most public places. just a random snap of a graffittied Stop sign in one the tiny tangled back streets in Newtown…. and it makes a lot of sense to me…. if we all stopped driving so much it might have an impact on climate change….. and it’s climate change that is behind the blinding fury of the devasting holcoust of fire that is laying waste to most of Victoria at the moment…. so this is my thought for the day…. please if your just going down to the shops for some milk and suchlike… how about you just walk instead…. ?
With all these names scratched into the surface of these bricks, I’m surprised that there wasn’t a name, followed by the familiar ‘woz ‘ere’! Taken with a Canon EOS 450D, Norwich (UK). Featured in South East UK, June 2009.

well it’s Melbourne Cup day here in Oz and the whole country stops while the ponies thunder around a oval while the fabulous folk flutter about in fancy duds while quaffing large amounts of bubbly…. and meanwhile out on the mean streets all sorts of other interpretations of this event are revealed… like in this charming little bit of graffitti I spied on a gutter some where in one of the less salubrious parts of the shiny city…. go Boadacia you go girl….
