  • Here’s my famous red vinyl chair and red phone! These have been used in quite a few photo shoots now – although, this is the first photo where the two items get in the limelight. This laneway is located near Hosier Lane in Melbourne, adorned with graffiti and stencil art. Getting the phone to the laneway from the carpark at Fed Square was easy. Getting the chair there wasn’t!

  • This is a rather old image from the bottom of my big box of negatives that I’m slowly converting to digital files. I had been out on a fashion shoot and at the end of it I found I had 2 frames left. So on the way home with the model I stopped in at Graffitti Hall of Fame in Alexandria which is one of the inner city suburbs of Sydney. In this digital age its hard to imagine having faith in taking a good picture with only two goes at it but there you are! I got the model on to the roller and shot one from the front and with the very last frame shot this one. I hope you like it as much as I do. :) This is what it looks like framed

  • Ducked out this morning for bread and papers and found this new peice of graffitti had sprung up overnight. And I just love it. I had to turn around and go home and get my camera and come back and capture it before the tidy town people find it and paint over it. So here’s a picture of hope and tolerance on a special Sunday morning. God bless the mentally ill and keep them safe. And a very happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there.

  • Photography by Jenny Davis / Taken in Paris 2007 / This piece is connected to my interest in and continual research and documentation of underground spaces, surfaces, corners, crevices, signage ,graffiti ,consumer packaging etc . It’s all street art . Over many years I have used paint, photography and found objects to express myself in an abstract way, developing imagery from surfaces and spaces in urban and country enviroments worldwide. I am fascinated by the the beauty in the unseen, sometimes thought of as dirty and ugly

  • psst psst… It’s subconsciously desensitizing you to vandalism… you just don’t know it yet / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

  • something I saw written on a wall of a derelict inner city punk squat many years ago and was compelled to photograph. recently rediscovered while digitizing negative files this photo has not been seen for twenty years. this is what it looks like as a laminated print.

  • Urban street photography taken in London 2008 Art entitled ‘Plague Doctor with Lambretta’ by Arofish

  • abit urban graffiti, abit tattoo styling. Just loved this sketch, I was considering putting some colour into the back arrows in the design, either colours for each arrow or a blanket colour for all of the arrows.

  • Star

  • ...just a partial shot of some graffitti that caught my eye in Paris, France on May 22, 2009.

  • An alley in Chinatown San Francisco

  • Taking a very careful late night stroll into some of Melbournes back lanes whilst visiting this week, I came across this amazing place off Flinders Street where everything was covered in paint, including the bins!!!! Had to watch out for the rats that kept crossing the lane into the bins…..... I guess this always depends on your point of view, is it art – is it graffitti? Shot with the Canon 400D – 17-85 lens on a tripod. Will try and work on some HDRs also taken that night and post them soon.

  • This alleyway is located directly opposite where I have been picking up either one or both of my children from school for the past 8 years…. It has the feel of a very familiar and friendly place. The ‘locals’ who ask for a dollar or two for their next hit reasonably regularly quite understand if some of the time I can’t help them out…. / Every now and then I’d mention to my son that it would be really good to get a photo of this alley, and he’d keep on telling me – ‘But Muum – you should have your camera with you ALL THE TIME’. He’s right. Sony Alpha 350, Tokina 19-35mm Lens, Focal Length 24mm @ f4.0, 1/50 Sec Exp, ISO 400. Taken in July (mid-winter) just as the evening light was fading at a great rate, and it was just beginning to rain a little… O – and I just have to add again, that this image looks LOTS better LARGE… :)))

  • another little gem of wisdom found written on a wall somewhere in Newtown… and hey how true is this… / . /

  • this is a tee shirt version of this photograph I posted the other day…. perfect for those times when a thought bubble is the best you can do to keep your end up in the conversation…..
