A little color in the Mojave Desert.
This stencil was created in early 2008 inspired by fashion photography and damp cold London. Recently cut stencil with one layer from an older stencil of a zebra in pink on her dress, with hand drawn cobbled stones. The canvas itself is 3 times in length this is just a mere snap shot of the original piece. This piece is 1 of 3, utilising the same same stencil and composition of works I’ve posted on Red Bubble at the moment. The other is ‘snow and umbrella’ and ‘rain birds’
This is picture is from an original artwork composed from graffiti elements found around various cities and re-done in composite form. The original is a 500×500 canvas print.
The main stencil image is one layer of the four layer stencil I created in early 2008 inspired by my interest in fashion photography. ‘Snow and Umbrella’ is 1 of 3, utilising the same same stencil and composition of works I’ve posted on Red Bubble at the moment. The other is ‘Rain Birds’ and ‘Umbrella and Rain’.

I spotted a red crate near by and thought it would add a three dimensional quality to the scene… I’m a sucker for laneways and Street Art!

Melbourne has some amazing graffiti and street art. This is, I think, Hosier Lane, in Melbourne CBD. A little maze of interlinking back lanes overflowing with excellent graffiti, stencils and street art. I’m not sure about putting this photo for sale, after all it’s not my art work! / However the same notions could be extrapolated regarding the architects, designers and builders of all my urban photography.
I spent the afternoon downtown today photographing graffiti and back alleys. This is my first in the series. Hope you like it. / / More in this series: / Urban Artist / / / Sandman / / / The Scribe / / / Tagged / / / The Vandals / / / The View / / / Bubblegum Graffiti / / / Marley / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography
Urban art is the voice of the unheard few, how loudly they have to shout….people are listening! A amphetamin trip of psychedelic joy! This image left me breathless.. I hope it does you too??? Huge thanks to my Beautiful Model and oh so talented photographer friend Kat.
A photograph of a graffiti artist in action, spray painting a wall in Sheffield
Would love people’s opinions on this. I have started taking lots of photos of Melbourne’e laneways because I love them. i also like this effect, even if it can be considered cliched. I want to make the shot a bit more grungy but I feel I am almost there.
Seraphim are jealous. This is the best halo in heaven and on Earth. Makes a distinctive statement as a card.
A new an experimental style for me, using simple bold lines, high contrast and bright colours. for more work by contemporary painters visit www.arts-fine.co.uk
When you can’t help yourself you may need ….. Taken at an abandoned house in Hiroshima, Japan. Don’t miss the accompanying video that can be viewed here The photo is straight from the camera. The tones were achieved by adjusting the ‘picture style’ settings in camera. The writing on the wall and the ‘draft’ in the top were done with LEDs using the light painting method. The model did an insane job of staying still for 39 seconds. The guy is a freakin’ statue…. Camera: Canon EOS 40D / Exposure: 39 / Aperture: f/20.0 / Focal Length: 17 mm / ISO Speed: 100
Image by photographer Glennis Siverson, www.glennisphotos.com. This is one of my personal favorites. It was captured in Daytona Beach, Florida during Spring Break 2008. I was documenting a Christian outreach group’s missionary work, and they had a large section of the beach set up for college students to do arts and crafts, listen to music, grill on the bbq, talk to missionaries, etc. One section included the graffiti wall, which is pictured here. Students were encouraged to express themselves through their art, and it was a wonderfully positive experience for all, opening the door for many to learn about God’s Word, His Son, and His love for us.
This work has now been destroyed – it lasted less than a week.
