Where do you go when you fall asleep? But it wasn’t much fun winning when you came out of hiding and everyone was gone. So Grace resigned herself to always being In. / But Grace had to admit that Faith was very, very good. New York State / Asylum for the Insane The H.H. Richardson Complex is also called the State Insane Asylum, State Lunatic Asylum and the Buffalo State Hospital. The Buffalo Psychiatric Center located at 400 Forest Avenue, Buffalo, N.Y. / Nine Inch Nails – The Perfect Drug History of the State Insane Asylum: Dr. James White, a Buffalo physician , proposed to the state legislature that an asylum be built in Buffalo, New York. Through his work, the Buffalo State Hospital organization was established in 1869. / In 1870 H. H. Richardson, was chosen as architect; for the new mental hospital. Groundbreaking ceremonies took place in June 1871, and by 1880 the first patients were received in the complex. Construction was completed by 1895. The facility was closed in 1974 / Widely thought to be haunted. Leica V-Lux 1.

To take another step…... / To where it leads I fear….... Original image taken Les Invalides: Napoleon’s Tomb in Paris, obviously with a fair degree of postwork. I have to add, I was totally inspired whilst working on this, listening to “The Resistance”, Muse. Can you see the ghostly figure, not knowing whether to continue up the stairs to the light….....? Gazing upwards, a skeletal figure, gazing downwards, a screaming face, can you see both ? Many thanks to The Male Photographer group for the feature (September 2009).
