It’s been a long wait, but I should be receiving my first ‘Oscar’ cloth doll prototype within the next week or so! I still have a few minor details to wrap up, but once all the loose ends are tied, I will be taking pre-orders for all of my friends and valued customers from both RedBubble and Zazzle to make sure that everyone who wants one can have one before they are sold out! (I’m having a limited supply manufactured at first and they are expected to go rather fast!) I will post a pic of my prototype once I get him so that you can all see what the dolls will look like. I’m so excited about this venture!

Yup, that’s right. I DID say ‘Lighter Side of Dark’ computer game! Thanks to the AMAZINGLY talented Canadian (who happens to say ‘eh?’ after every other word might I add!) Mr. Randy Monteith, I now have a really nifty little computer game featuring 6 of my dark little charecters from the Lighter Side of Dark series!!! (the very same 6 who just so happen to be the stars of the first book….cool, huh?) If any of you would like to have this nifty little piece of pop-culture (okay, so it isn’t quite pop-culture yet, but dammit, give me time people!) just email me at gethahpi@hahpistuff.com and I will email the file back to you. It isn’t very big so no worries on your part!!! Here are some screen shots of the game…..Randy, of course, has the high score so far…..at least over at his place! ;) This game has become quite addicting to be honest. As most of you know, I’ve been MIA because of a horrid tooth problem. Well, due to this issue, my partner in crime, Mr Paul Rees-Jones won’t let me illustrate or edit out book (Good call Paully! I can barely see straight on these pills, let alone write or draw anything!!!) Okay, I recently drew up the newest ‘Lighter Side of Dark’ character (as if I needed a new one for Paully to write about!!!) but I am just too beat to think of a decent name. Yes friends, you read that right. It was not a typo or a cruel joke! The first EVER ‘Lighter Side of Dark’ book is now published and available for purchase! It has been a long year in the making and I thank you all for being so patient with us! Paul and I are so happy to share this awesome occasion with all of our RedBubble friends around the globe. Today marks a major accomplishment for the two of us and we are thrilled to have you all here with us to celebrate! Since we can’t pass out virtual party favors, (since it is not only our official book launch day but also my dear partner-in-crime’s birthday!) we are going to put the book on sale for a week, starting today! Aloha!!! I’d like to take you behind the curtain and show you a member of redbubble that I don’t think many people have met yet or know of gottheshot / ....... / Although gottheshot has had a few features in groups, he’s never been featured on the Home Page, and yet he captures the most fabulous images and I really thought it’s a crime that his fabulous art is not being seen by more of us. / ....... His candid shots of people on the street, in parks, in Harajuku during his time in Japan are some of the most beautiful and poignant works I’ve seen in my travels and I’m really taken with them, you can tell he loves his subjects very much… I love talking to him about how he sees things and he explains so well, the thought process he goes through as he ponders how he’ll shoot a particular subject… it’s so very interesting, rewarding and revealing. I love his black and white photography, there is something just wonderful about it, that I can’t quite put into words…it’s elemental beauty at it’s best….but then you see the colour version and my mind is exploding with details and delighted by everything i see… there is one image in particular which i find “postcard-a-licious” called Caught in Kyoto which is the Geisha with the red umbrella and kimono below standing to the side, revealing white cherry blossom tree in full bloom… something so special about it, almost like selective colouring, but it isn’t. / ........ / gottheshot says and I quote: A boring 9-5 job keeps me away from the love of photography for most of the time but weekends and holidays are a chance to learn my new found hobby / again. I enjoyed trying to capture street photography in Japan and more recently just photographing landmarks in London. In the last couple of months my weekend hobby has been flower photography and bees in flight.. A very steep learning curve. I still find that I choose the wrong aperture or the wrong setting and lose the goal that I want out of a photo – practise makes perfect. With a bit of editing my photos are presentable enough to go on here. / ...... / I don’t want to give away all gottheshot’s surprises here in my journal, so why don’t you head on over and say hi to him, pop him on your watchlist and check out his beautiful inspirational works…another friend to befriend…a new person to inspire and be inspired by… It was actually Open Wide pictured below, that first caught my attention and as I continued to enjoy I came across gottheshots diverse range wonderful images /
