Yesterday, Saturday June 13, some of the hardier ‘Geelong Throngers’ braved the cold weather to visit Melbourne Zoo. It was good to meet up with familiar faces again and have a look at those animals that weren’t snuggled up somewhere warm. I spent some time with Kathryn lphotographing animals and drooling over handsome men!! Anyway, came away with a few reasonable shots ….. 1. / / I’m so cute I can’t stand it!! 2. / / Who’s a pretty girl??? 3. / / Mandrill 4. / / Boring! 5. / / Napping 6. / / Hiding 7. / / Little Frog 8. / / Peeking 9. / / Wrapped up! This snake must have recently enjoyed a large meal judging by it’s distended belly. 10. / / Lizard 11. / / Where are you? 12. / / Rebuff? 13. / / Monkey trio 14. / / The pigeon is about to get the fright of it’s life. It kept walking closer to the gorilla and, when it was in swatting range, a huge paw came out and swiped at it. This happened several times in a row. I think they were both having a bit of fun.
