Elowah falls tumbles some 200+ feet to the floor of the Columbia River Gorge. Taken on a rainy misty day in January. I never seen that much water coming over the falls.

A fashion shoot in the Karroo, a beautiful semi-desert part of South Africa. The model was on top of a 100metre high cliff and I had to climb the opposite cliff face to get this shot. A really worthwhile effort..

Looking down the gorge from the lower bridge, Falls of Bruar . I’m particularly impressed by the colours and the smooth glistening rocks. This area is rich in geology (an extension of the Loch Tay fault?): there’s a lot of limestone and other metamorphic sedimentary rocks (layered slate, possibly some schist) and a bit of red sandstone nearby, all folded making rakish angles. Taken on the Shen Hao 5×4” large-format camera with Fuji Velvia (old RVP emulsion) film.

I captured this photo today after the rain had cleared. I used a longer exposure, tripod and two ND8 filters & a polarizer for the effect. / Thanks for viewing :)

Another HDR shot from this morning….I just liked the way this tree stood on its own and was surrounded by the rocks at its base. Makes for a pleasing composition!

Went to one of my favourite places today in search if some good IR fodder…was a bit disappointed….it wasnt bright enough at the time I could go…...I will have to go backaround mid-day in the summer….I did come away with some stuff though….this is a sunrise shot….it is HDR but the tinkered with RAW was quite nice also.

A view of Victoria Falls and the Zambezi Gorge from the Zimbabwean side. I spent 2 days at the falls walking both sides of the border in Zambia and Zimbabwe. The water spray was magical, I was soaked through and keeping camera gear protected became an art in itself. / The red speck in the background is a person viewing the falls from another vantage point.

There is only a 5 percent mark-up on this one. I encourage everyone to “f*ckin’ love” themselves a t-shirt with Ronald holding whomever is across and slightly to the right of you at gunpoint.
