  • Elowah falls tumbles some 200+ feet to the floor of the Columbia River Gorge. Taken on a rainy misty day in January. I never seen that much water coming over the falls.

  • A fashion shoot in the Karroo, a beautiful semi-desert part of South Africa. The model was on top of a 100metre high cliff and I had to climb the opposite cliff face to get this shot. A really worthwhile effort..

Looking down the gorge from the lower bridge, Falls of Bruar . I’m particularly impressed by the colours and the smooth glistening rocks. This area is rich in geology (an extension of the Loch Tay fault?): there’s a lot of limestone and other metamorphic sedimentary rocks (layered slate, possibly some schist) and a bit of red sandstone nearby, all folded making rakish angles. Taken on the Shen Hao 5×4” large-format camera with Fuji Velvia (old RVP emulsion) film.

  • I captured this photo today after the rain had cleared. I used a longer exposure, tripod and two ND8 filters & a polarizer for the effect. / Thanks for viewing :)

  • The mid West Australian coast around Kalbarri is particularly rugged and the constant action of wind, waves, and tides over many millions of years have created several stunning coastal gorges as well as three or four amazing creations. This bridge is one such creation and is only visible at low tide. In this photo the setting sun was bouncing off the rocks behind me and creating a most wonderful setting that I and a couple of other photographers were taking full advantage of. Kalbarri is a popular fishing cum holiday township 150 kms north of Geraldton and getting on for 600 kms north of Perth. As well as it’s coastal gorges it is also famed for some stunning river gorges

  • Purnululu ( Bungle Bungle Range ) Nat. Park surrendering its secrets the Cathedral Gorge is an amazing blaze of contrasting colors, if you there on your own it beautifully echoes only crickets will take over the ambience of the gorge BEST VIEWED LARGER

  • Best View Larger Feature in Live and Let Live group. Taken at Watkins Glen State Park, Watkins Glen, NY on 10/10/2009. I was with Lina Paul and Dj We where there because Dj has a week off before he goes for basic training for the Army Reserves. The park was really crowded and it was difficult to capture the waterfalls without anyone in them. I will catch up with replys and reviews later on today.
