Photo-shopped artwork, Goolwa South Australia
Where the less than mighty Murray tries to find a way to the Southern Ocean- on the Southern tip of Hindmarsh Island, SA.
Taken at Goolwa in South Australia.
Took this image a while back, last summer at a place called Goolwa on the southern Fleuriea Peninsula. I just really liked the gold of the grass against the blue sky. This image looks better larger, more details show up!

On a bleak, wet, winter’s day the Goolwa Bridge, south of Adelaide. Taken the day before the protest, for the Save the Murray Campaign. Goolwa is at the mouth of the River Murray and the southern lakes and Coorong are dying. More water is needed to be sent down the river to save the farms and the ecosystems. Goolwa is a town that thrives on boating and tourism. This bridge was also in a dispute earlier over whether it should be built. It seems to have become a South Australian icon for protests. /
The Hindmarsh Island bridge which connects to the mainland at Goolwa. A sweet little holiday spot along the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Taken on film in January 2000. Scanned to digital today. Pretty much as is, just a bit of cropping.

A typically windy day at Goolwa beach. Kite surfers enjoy the conditions as the sun sends out rays and lines the clouds with silver bands.

I got up early on Friday morning during my recent trip to South Australia. I was staying in Goolwa, only a couple of minutes drive from Victor Harbor, so I headed down there for some dawn photography.. very pleased with the results. Canon EOS 30D / EF-S 10-22 / ND8Grad / ND400 16mm, 82 seconds @ f10, ISO100 No photoshop other than leveling the horizon. All colours are real and achieved by changing the white balance in the camera. All comments appreciated - paul

This Anglican Church was established in 1868. No plaques are on the main building only reference to the establishment of the church was some recognition of a local Lady with the erection of the wrought iron gates to the entrance of the church yard which were hung in 1943.
