This i did with the hope that one day i’ll make about 10000+ of these shirts and they will be worn by people from all over, located in one central spot in a major city, beating drums demanding that that people unite and realize that there really isn’t a reason why we should continue to live with all the oppressions of the world

I made a new little friend for my crane in Born from the Hand. This was folded with a 6×6mm piece of paper, with tweezers and pins, resulting in a crane with wings 2.5mm long. As I hold my creation, I feel like a God; I am the creator; I’ve created a life form so sharp and vulnerable in comparison to my hand. We can only understand size, fragility and significance when we compare two things. When we think, for example, how big the world is, we’re like tiny specks of sand, or even atoms, to the eyes of a God holding the earth in his palm. It took 30 shots before getting one which was somewhat satisfying. Amazingly there are 20 species of Magpie in the world. Not quite sure which I have painted here… looks more like an Australian magpie Many people consider them superstitious, they certainly have their place in folklore, some believe they bring good luck, others believe bad. I remember being played Rossini’s Thriving Magpie when I was quite young; it is said they have a panache for shiny, silvery things which they like to steal and hide. / Here the magpie has found a key! I wonder where it came from? I see him as a ‘Keeper of Secrets’. / The selected text comes from a traditional rhyme I was told as a child: One for sorrow, Two for joy, / Three for a girl, Four for a boy, / Five for Silver, Six for Gold / Seven for a secret never to be told This is an acrylic painting on canvas.
This is the image I used for both the front and back cover of “Snow Man is my Friend.” It’s simple, but it’s kind of sweet at the same time. Wait. Did I just type, “It’s simple but it’s kind of sweet?” Who am I, Rachel Ray? This also marks the first drawing of the actual snow man from the book. No doubt some of you were thinking, “Why in the hell did he title a book Snow Man is My Friend if there isn’t a snow man in it?”
I thought this would look nice on a shirt. Prints Also Available: /
GOOD FRIDAY MAMMATUS / Photo best viewed large. / / / / / / FEATURED WORKS / “GOOD FRIDAY MAMMATUS” was FEATURED in the group #1 ARTISTS OF RED BUBBLE / / / I took this photo of Mammatus on a Good Friday before Easter in Ashland, Kentucky. The clouds first started rolling in and looked like fluffy white marshmallows. Then in front of the setting sun they dramatically began to change colors. They went from snow white to shades of silvers, pinks, grays, blues and even purples! The colors were quite striking and dramatic; these clouds were nothing like anything I had ever seen before! For a few minutes they turned very dark, and it was a sight I will never forget!! These amazing mammatus clouds lasted about 45 minutes before they exited my area. / / / We were under our second tornado watch of the year, and I found out later that I was standing right under the anvil of a severe thunderhead and that a tornado could have formed at any moment! Luckily for me it didn’t, and I was able to capture some phenomenal, amazing clouds. I can’t quite put it into words other than to say, “I closed my eyes for a few seconds and felt like I had been kissed on my cheek by an angel.” This was one time in my life that I will always remember!!! / / / This photograph of “GOOD FRIDAY MAMMATUS” has won National awards, been published in an Anthology, and has been shown on National television. This image is also featured in several websites and blogs throughout the USA and Australia for educational purposes. / / /
I believe dualism to be an integral part to functioning as a whole. There has to be a little bad in all of us or life would be just plain boring… eh Mel? ;) This is for the upcoming “Opposites” competition in the Challenge Cafe. Thankyou to the very talented Jacky for the use of her nightstock image.

Taken while traveling through remote Nigeria in Niger Delta Region. This young boy came running towards our vehicle and we stopped for a welcome break, after 7 hours of bumpy dusty tracks. He wanted to sell us one of his animals. I felt so sorry for him, that I give him what he asked, after being told by one of our Missionary guides he had asked the going price. I refused to take his animal, as I felt we had enough food, and he looked so thin. After this he insisted that I should visit his settlement. After much persuasion with the team We did. None had heard about Jesus and his Love. All received Jesus as Lord. We also were able to give multi-vitamin tablets to the senior elder, and he promised to give each one a Tablet every day. It was a blessing. We now have a Local Missionary who visits the settlement each week. 100% of all proceeds from sale of my art goes toward helping the extreme poor, sick and isolated in villages in Africa.. I invite all to please visit my Mission Africa Charity website: http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Please Visit my profile page and click on the buttons to see all my work in organized groups. http://www.redbubble.com/people/joshuatree1 Donate your art and save a child’s life!
Feng Shui teaches that 3 coins bound with the auspicious red ribbon is a powerful symbol that brings prosperity and abundance. For centuries the three good luck coins inside a red envelope have been given to family and friends to wish loved ones true prosperity. The act of giving the good luck coins spreads happiness and good luck to those who receive them. Tips for using these Chinese good luck symbols of wealth and prosperity -Many people keep the good luck coins in their wallets and purses encouraging wealth and prosperity. -Others hang the lucky coins from the inside of the door symbolising that prosperity has entered the house. -Business people often keep good luck coins in the cash register or tape them to the front of important files they are working on. /
Three seagulls having a leisurely chat at Mornington late in the afternoon. This was the first time I had been to Mornington since I was kid. I always flashbacks of a pier down on the coast as a child and until now had never realised where it was. It looked so much smaller than I remembered it to be… Processed in Adobe Lightroom 2 and Adobe Photoshop CS. Taken with my Canon 40D and 10-22mm wide angle lens. Yet again, the Legend, now in a conservative black and white

Love to know how many people can get the cryptic clues straight up. I’m going to the White Album Concert on 4 August and thought I would like to wear something that fitted in with the night’s vibe. (Well, maybe it’s not that cryptic….)
Saw these lovely very ‘different’ poppies – Appear to have been hand painted in splashes of deep red and white- then spotted the bee- wasn’t sure if it was having a Poppy Nap-Aussie for our Cat Nap- but just looks as though it is enjoying itself….. My grand daughter Kolleen, as my white light. This was all her idea. Last night at 10PM she decides she is going to do my living room in sheer curtains< for clouds> and dress in white and be an angel. I just had to shoot = ) Not quite that simple but she was happy = ) I hope you enjoy my White Light. Hugs Vonne
