  • this is one of a series of three. This one is for a commission. Knowing a little about the person, besides knowing he likes red, and abstract, and loads of texture, he’s also gone through big change in his life (new business, going well, old relationship ended) One of the things he loves in his business is seeing a ‘situation’ and cleaning it up to be fresh, sparkling and better than expected. Bearing this in mind, the surface of the canvas was highly textured. There is loads of ‘chaos’ that is steam rolled through, leaving a shining path. It is a visual reminded of his efforts of the day, and the mark he leaves on the world. It is vision of happiness, a job well done, a tribute to freedom and moving forward. I have amped up the colour so it looks great in print.

  • RAR! :D This is Mort. Chosen by the hand of Luicifer, himself, Mort was bestowed the duty to become the physical manifestation to the conception of the Devil’s bad conscience. Unknown to even the Master of corruption the same war foughted daily upon his shoulders raged within Mort against an envading entity that possessed his being. This possession over-powered him and pushed aside his original good nature seeing emerge an intense split personally derived from his own internal struggle between good and evil. The corruption of this entity is what attainted Mort his Devil-given duty and one can only begin to imagine what the future holds in the chaotic pits of Hell if he defeats his own demons tipping the balance of the conscience that drives the root of all evil… Color associated with this character: Black and red / Dress: His bare shiny black skin / Mode of transport: The devils shoulder. Disappears + reappears. / Favorite music: Classical symphony / Favorite saying: “RAR!” `kormyen

  • My favorite spot any season, this shot was taken in October when the leaves are changing.. The northern birds come to NJ to overwinter which is why there are so many on the river. The River is the South Branch, the town Clinton, NJ USA. the Old Red Mill is now a working museum, and reflects the historic nature of the town built along the river in the early 1700s. If you’re near by it’s worth a stop. A perfect complement is this image of the Mill Wheel /

  • This was some good advice here ….. Pier? What Pier !!! / This image is “As Is”, absolutely nothing done to it, straight out of my new D300, which I think will serve me rather well.

  • Feng Shui teaches that 3 coins bound with the auspicious red ribbon is a powerful symbol that brings prosperity and abundance. For centuries the three good luck coins inside a red envelope have been given to family and friends to wish loved ones true prosperity. The act of giving the good luck coins spreads happiness and good luck to those who receive them. Tips for using these Chinese good luck symbols of wealth and prosperity -Many people keep the good luck coins in their wallets and purses encouraging wealth and prosperity. -Others hang the lucky coins from the inside of the door symbolising that prosperity has entered the house. -Business people often keep good luck coins in the cash register or tape them to the front of important files they are working on. /

  • As I finished this work this morning, I was soon reminded that my path must be sacred and true, as I witnessed 4 Bald Eagles and 2 Golden Eagles sitting along the river treeline, never since we’ve been here have I seen a grouping like this together. My body was tingling from head to toe and I got so caught up in the beauty, I could only take a few photographs (which I’ll share soon). / In Northern America, the Eagle was considered great medicine power. To the Native Americans there were different kinds and divisions of Eagles. The Golden Eagle had a very high rank. The most potent and magical was the Sky Eagle which the Iroquois called Shadahgeyah. Among the Hopi, the Eagle god was called Kwahu and according to their legends, this great bird seldom came below the clouds; only the holiest of Shamans ever saw it. Even the Aztecs said this bird represented celestial power and the rising Sun. / As a Solar Eclipse approaches with the Chinese New Year on 1/26/09, the thought behind this Mandala becomes more clear…”We Are ALL One Tribe” Rainbow Hoop Created with Wacom Graphic pad/pen and enhanced with Redfield plug-in fractilius filter and photoshop7

  • Yes, I did actually manage to read all 4 massive books in the ‘Twilight’ series while my computer was ‘sick’. So – for a bit of ‘light relief’ – my take on the traditional ‘vampire’. I know this one doesn’t actually ‘match’ any of the wonderful vampire characters in ‘Twilight’ (by Stephanie Meyer) – the only vampire there with flaming red hair definitely comes across as a ‘bad guy’ – not one willing or able to join the good, ‘vegetarian vampire coven’ that the story is based around. / But – I just couldn’t see myself creating an image of something with fangs and a lot of fake blood – so bright red hair has to substitute. A ‘vampire’ maybe not willing or able to clearly show him or herself as she is to the outside non-supernatural world? A composite image created from many of my own photographs.
