  • An old country home long abandoned, but maybe fondly remembered by someone as the place where their grandmother cooked some wonderful meals…

  • Taken late afternoon in Goa as the fishermen leave for the night.

  • A fascination with old post cards, so I decided to make one from scratch.

  • Montague created using photos taken at a grey hound racing track in Birmingham, England. All images shot with a Contax G2. / Second images in the series: /

  • Have a look at my other photos. For example: / / / / / / / / / / Or browse through one of my categories flower / poppy / water / leaf / other / reflection / macro / insect

  • from my original acrylic painting

  • I made this up from 3 of my images and digitally painted in the details.

  • Taken in the moment, I saw in it a story.

  • Brown pelican at the harbor

  • Boca Raton Sunrise 4/02/08

  • This is either fantasy or something I saw at the foot of our garden … can’t remember which … you be the judge ;) Here is a detail:

  • Gray Mountain trail a few miles west of Goergetown, Colorado. Shot with a Pentax *istDS camera with a Pentax 18 – 55mm lens.

  • The old Port Arthur Penitentiary ~ Van Diemens Land ~ Australia. Storm clouds looming adding to the atmosphere. The old hospital on the hillside dominating the background….thanks for looking.

  • Acrylic on Canvas (40cm x 40cm) I’ve been working on this for a while now, so much so that I think it’s permeated my conciousness to a point at which it unwittingly reappeared in my first attempt at abstract art. Spooky. See the result here After She’s Gone I / After She’s Gone II /

  • New found from yesterday (3.9.2008), beautiful, abandoned house on countryside.

  • A grape thrown a million times into a cup of coffee :)

  • This image was taken October 3, 2008 in Pavia, Pennsylvania. The window is from a vacant, deserted structure, which has since been torn down. When passing by, the look of the torn curtains, and the peep of the sky through the tattered roof always caught my eye. Taken with the Nikon D40x, using the 55-200mm VR Nikon lens. Shutter speed 1/125, aperture f/8.0, exposure -.33, iso 400. Image was processed in HDR.

  • © Copyright 2009 Ivana Redwine, All Rights Reserved I used a photo I took as a starting point and digitally manipulated it, creating a hybrid of photography and art. Fauvist art fascinates and inspires me, so it is not surprising that my use of color here is emotive and subjective.

  • This sunset touched a place in my heart, to think of all the people that took a chance and walked over this great land in hope of a better life. I had just covered a months worth of travel. Not sure if I have the stuff it took for them to claim Oregon as a new home.

  • The Port Arthur Historic Site today contains many traces of its former uses, including the 19th century prison and the later free township of Carnarvon/Port Arthur. The conservation of this rich and evocative landscape, as well as the associated archival resources, is an ongoing challenge. / / Protection for some of the ruins began as early as 1916, when the old penal station became one of Australia’s earliest gazetted historic site, administered by the Scenery Preservation Board. Over the next 50 years former convict buildings were reacquired from private ownership by the Tasmanian government, and vital restoration works carried out. / / By the 1970s, with the site under the management of the National Parks and Wildlife Service, concerted efforts were made to conserve some of the more significant convict buildings, culminating in a major program of redevelopment and conservation works between 1979-1986. In 1987 custody of the historic site was vested in the Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority (PAHSMA), which still manages the site today. The work of the Authority involves conserving and interpreting the evidence for the various historical periods that have created the Port Arthur of today. The challenge of making the site accessible to over 200,000 visitors that visit annually while protecting its fragile fabric provides particular challenges. Technique :HDR tone mapping, 5 exposures , photomatix / Equipment: Nikon D70 , Tripod 18-200 lens / /

  • Multiple images layered in Photoshop, color adjustments to each layer, Orton effect for deepening background tones. /
