Location: Destin, FL – Regatta Bay Golf & Country Club / Camera:Canon A-10 EOS 35 mm / Lens: Tamron 28-200mm / Film: Fujicolor 200 speed This shot was taken on a very foggy night in April of 2000. I was driving by the Regatta Bay Golf Course while the country club had a tournament going on. They had the restaurant all lit up behind this stand of trees. We could see the shot from the road and though it was misting rain. I managed to risk my camera equipment and trespassed onto the golf course to get the shot. It was my FIRST time trespassing and I was sure I would get caught, but the shot was totally worth it. The fog the mist and the lighting all combined to make a once in a lifetime eerie effect. Even the colors in this shot have not been adjusted much. The lights shooting into the air were blue in color. Only minor cropping and editing of contrast were done in Photoshop CS3.
I have warned Mr Akamatsu not to use his 1 wood in the backyard on several occasions which is why one can easily understand my frustrations when I caught this with my camera. I refuse to return anymore golf ball that I find in my living room…. Straight from the camera. Nothing is attached to the ball and this image is just one shot. The key to this is the 50mm lens. I simply tossed the ball myself up in front of the camera. Camera: Canon EOS 40D / Exposure: 0.003 sec (1/400) / Aperture: f/13 / Focal Length: 50 mm / ISO Speed: 800 / Exposure Bias: 0 EV / Flash: Flash did not fire

A portrait version of this shot These are 300 year old beach trees and getting to the end of their natural life. When touring around Northern Ireland we were lucky enough to see a couple of photos of this place and eventually managed to find a toutrist info person that knew where they were. So with the sun low in a September sky we headed out and found possibly the most stunning bit of road I have ever been on in my life! Sony Alpha A200 18mm

The Seven Sisters Range of the Black Mountains in North Carolina is part of the Appalachian Mountains. Mt. Mitchell, though not seen here , is just to the left of this photo. It is the highest peak east of the MIssissippi River (6684’) and is accessible from the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is a state park there with a short trail to an observation tower on top of the mountain. / This view is from Mt Mitchell Golf Course in late afternoon . / Nikon D50. HDR. watercolor painting 18” x 24” on Arches cold pressed paper The Aguasabon (pronounced Ah-gwa-saw-bon) Golf course in Terrace Bay has a club house that is nestled at the base of terraced land above which, until recently closing, the pulp mill belched white smoke into the air. Although it’s a relatively short golf season north of Lake Superior, the location is beautiful and it’s a charming 9 hole public golf course.

This golf course is at Pennington Flash and because it never stopped raining over the winter, it appears like a beautiful pond! The seagulls absolutely love it.
