as I continue to wander along the beach after the most spectacular blood red dawn sky I come to the next rocky headland… this particular headland has a vast rocky shelf with many little pools of water and is greatly loved by the fishing folk around here….. I love it for the dramatic folds of the volcanic rock that seem like liquid gold with the sun hidden just behind it…the strength of the sun just out of view seems to have made the rock soft and velvety and almost translucent and it draws me on towards the rock shelf…... / . /
