This is my favorite photo of all! There is a wild red rose by my kitchen door. Late one afternoon, I was clipping tired blooms from the clusters; some clusters were hanging down. As I reached for this one to turn it over, a glimpse of gold flashed in the low sun. I looked again and discovered this tiny little frog napping in the heart of the bloom. I had only the negative and a small digital file from a scan, and it has taken me a month to get it into the appropriate high-resolution format where I can finally offer it for sale! Yes I know what you’re all thinking…It’s ANOTHER PET DOG!!!!! Don’t panic you arty farty types…it’s only up for a limited time whilst I make some cards for a friends present. Then it will be strictly back to black polo necks and matching berets. Ciao baby. Postscript (Wow I literally just uplaoded this to make cards for a friends birthday. I had no idea people would comment on it! I feel compelled to point out – as those who know me understand – my humour is very dry and ironic. Don’t take anything I say seriously! Except for my Africa pics and this word – thanks…) :) I MIGHT ADD IF ANYONE WANTS TO BUY IT-GO ON, ON YA, YEAH NOW AND THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! COLLECT THE SET!!

She wears a little lotus on her head, symbolic of her royal status and the lotus symbolises strong and lasting affection. Around her feet are tiny white pebbles …...she is surrounded by water, on a golden pond…you can see her reflection (i used silver cardboard for the backdrop and ground) Once the Chunkies are created and photographed, I usually dismantle them to be used in the creation of more chunkies, so I am recycling the plasticine. These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …

Lucky, our female labrador/german shepherd mix, seems to be pleading with me to go and play with her in the snow. She was moving a lot and I haven’t been able to get a clear sharp shot with her completely in the frame. I kept this shot anyway just because I love the look in her eyes. Lucky has been rescued from the shelter in Montreal a year ago by my sister. She was sick with kennel cough and needed a temporary foster family to bring her back to health. One month later, she came to live with us permanently because my sister could not bring herself to send her back to the shelter. We are all very fond of her. This again is one of the trails or pathways that is out front of my home in one of our fields that I walk regular while chasing dreams and those beautiful sunsets that totally mesmerize me…............. Yeah, it has been edited in photoshop and corel…....... but the beauty is always there edit or no edit…........ I will always find beauty in nature…..... for it’s beauty is by far overwhelming !
