This is my favorite photo of all! There is a wild red rose by my kitchen door. Late one afternoon, I was clipping tired blooms from the clusters; some clusters were hanging down. As I reached for this one to turn it over, a glimpse of gold flashed in the low sun. I looked again and discovered this tiny little frog napping in the heart of the bloom. I had only the negative and a small digital file from a scan, and it has taken me a month to get it into the appropriate high-resolution format where I can finally offer it for sale! Yes I know what you’re all thinking…It’s ANOTHER PET DOG!!!!! Don’t panic you arty farty types…it’s only up for a limited time whilst I make some cards for a friends present. Then it will be strictly back to black polo necks and matching berets. Ciao baby. Postscript (Wow I literally just uplaoded this to make cards for a friends birthday. I had no idea people would comment on it! I feel compelled to point out – as those who know me understand – my humour is very dry and ironic. Don’t take anything I say seriously! Though the distance between us grows, we’re never really apart. This photo was taken on the Chattahoochee River front in Roswell, Georgia at sunrise. The golden light mixes with the mist rising from the lake for a magical effect. The wake of the boat cuts through the current of the river and creates a line connecting the two people in this scene. The story between these figures is unimportant, but the viewer gets to imagine what might be happening in this golden moment. More photos of Rural America

Another not entirely right panorama from a camera my father made. Using these little cameras were a bit of a trick at times but the results were so various and mad that I love them. There are only five in this series. Below is a thumbnail of some Dad’s camera’s His camera always produced much better photo ’s technically than mine but I maintain that the mistakes I made with mine made for a more interesting image :)

This is Udon, my 7 month old male chow chow dog. This is his favourite spot for resting whenever he’s at my boyfriend’s place. He has been getting numerous ear parasites attacks lately so we brought him to the vet for 3 consecutive shots, the last one was this morning,just before I flew back to Singapore. I sure miss him, it’ll be another 5 days before I see him again. /

I saw this painting hanging in a little Turkish restaurant in Menlo Park, CA that is relatively unknown. I thought it was out of place (near the restroom). I appreciated it and took this shot to make it last longer (Oh, I accented it with more gold highlights and repaired some of the wear & tear, too). :)

The word “koi” comes from the Japanese, simply meaning “carp.” It includes both the dull grey fish and the brightly colored varieties.
