I am lucky enough to live right next to a forest so I took the kids bush walking and got this photo of the sunset through the long grass.. I just really liked the golden tones and I had a different grass image but have taken it down and replaced it with this one.

Taken at sunset at Laval-Ouest beach on 22/04/08(spring in Canada). Used my Canon A75. I am pleased with the color and calmness of the lake. The name came to me instantly. Although it cannot be seen by the viewer this area was flooded out and I had to take the shot from across the road as the water had spilled over. Waking up early isn’t my forté, but this magical sunrise pulled me out of bed and down to the river. The morning mists were rolling down and the water was dead calm, as if not wanting to disturb the day. The photo is cross-processed medium format velvia and retains some imperfections.

I was outside,far from my grand-dauther,looking at an exibition when I turned my head and saw Angelica trying to stay on the narrow side of the fontain.It was about 5.30 p.m and the sun was going through the water,it was magical.Taken at “Le jardin Botanique de Montréal” /

Featured in Dimensions – November 2009 / Featured in Light In The Darkness – August 2009 This one was taken on the 22nd of August 2009 from Elephant Rock at Currumbin beach – a sunrise no photograph can describe. Shot using a 450D with a Sigma 10-20 at 10mm. 3 shots – 13s, 2.5s and 1s exposures using F/22 and Iso 100. Exposure blending using Photomatix and processed in CS4.
