  • AS IS Canon PowerShot S3 IS 6mp “Autumn Drive on the Pig Trail” U.S. Arkansas State Highway 23 S. Better known as the Pig Trail Bypass. I love to shoot fall colors right after the rain; the moisture saturates the colors, and makes them POP. /

  • These make excellent birthday cards ! I am designing 12 images based around the months of the year and the old Celtic luna months. They will reflect the changing of the seasons and the ever turning wheel of the year, the magic and mystery attatched to each part of the cycle and any special festivals falling in those months. I hope you enjoy them as much as I am enjoying creating them :) Blessings Angie* “October – and the skies are cool and gray / O’er stubbles emptied of their latest sheaf, / Bare meadow, and the slowly falling leaf. / The dignity of woods in rich decay / Accords full well with this majestic grief / That clothes our solemn purple hills to-day, / Whose afternoon is hush’d, and wintry brief / Only a robin sings from any spray. And night sends up her pale cold moon, and spills / White mist around the hollows of the hills, / Phantoms of firth or lake; the peasant sees / His cot and stockyard, with the homestead trees, / Islanded; but no foolish terror thrills / His perfect harvesting; he sleeps at ease. “ William Allingham

  • When I visit my Mom in Pembroke we love to visit Pansy Patch Park. It is surrounded by a forest and is such a beautiful and inspirational place, especially in the fall when all the leaves are changing colors. The original image has been modified into a work of art – bringing out, I hope, what my spirit sees, not necessarily everything the lens does. • Well, I spotted this out on my Saturday hike from above and scouted for a way down into the capture the scene. What I found was a impenetrable blend of steep banks and thick brush covered in Poison Ivy and Devils Club. Common sense told me to let it go but in the end I slid down using my tripod as a walking stick and managed to get to waters edge with both feet and behind a bit wet. I hope it was worth it for it seemed so at the time to me. Golden leaves on a moss covered boulder in a small stream contrast nicely against rushing water

  • / A few leaves drifted down today, reminding me that fall is just around the corner…I was standing in the garden, looking up through the dappled leaves to the sky above, hardly able to see as the sun shone so brightly, thinking how fast summer goes and how long winter lasts…but leaves when they finally land, get trapped and become one with the soil that feeds my garden… / I am busy working on another portrait, but stopped to paint that vision of light that made a halo around the leaves as they fell…the view is as if you are underneath the leaves as they fall. Watercolour on Arches Not Paper FEATURED IN CREATIVE CARDS Leaves that fall are trapped in time / Beneath cold sheets of sand and lime. / Wandering there among the leaves, / In awe of variants Time conceived, / We ponder the shape of branching fates, / And elusive origins of their traits....excerpts David Maddison

  • They call me The Wild Rose / But my name was Eliza Day / Why they call me it I do not know / For my name was Eliza Day From the first day I saw her I knew she was the one / She stared in my eyes and smiled / For her lips were the colour of the roses / That grew down the river, all bloody and wild When he knocked on my door and entered the room / My trembling subsided in his sure embrace / He would be my first man, and with a careful hand / He wiped out the tears that ran down my face They call me The Wild Rose / But my name was Eliza Day / Why they call me it I do not know / For my name was Eliza Day On the second day I brought her a flower / She was more beautiful than any woman I’d seen / I said, “Do you know where the wild roses grow, / so sweet and scarlet and free?” On the second day he came with a single red rose / He said: “Give me your loss and your sorrow” / I nodded my head, as I lay on the bed / “If I show you the roses will you follow?” They call me The Wild Rose / But my name was Eliza Day / Why they call me that I do not know / For my name was Eliza Day On the third day he took me to the river / He showed me the roses and we kissed / And the last thing I heard was a muttered word / As he knelt above me with a rock in his fist On the last day I took her where the wild roses grow / And she lay on the bank, the wind light as a thief / And I kissed her goodbye, said, “All beauty must die” / And I lent down and planted a rose between her teeth They call me The Wild Rose / But my name was Eliza Day / Why they call me it I do not know / For my name was Eliza Day / For my name was Eliza Day / For my name was Eliza Day / / /
