“Marbled Sky“ I found this scene on the way home from a photo shoot with my sister, Manikah. We had visited Beaver Town to shoot the Arkansas Golden Gate Bridge. Beaver Town is a quaint nostalgic community just outside of Holiday Island, near Eureka Spring, Arkansas. Of course, on the way home we took every dirt road we could find! ...lol When we were crossing a low-water bridge, I happened to glance down I saw this “marbled sky”! My eyes are always searching for the art in nature :)

What a wonderful place to get my head back on straight. This is Rose Valley Lake in north central Pennsylvania, taken at the peak of fall’s natural color display. This photo was taken just before sunset with a Canon EOS 10D with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L telephoto zoom lens @ 200mm. The shutter speed was 1/20th sec at f/13. The camera’s ISO was set to 200. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release. Your comments are always welcome! It is a quiet autumn day. This creek is low on water and the current is not real swift. Further down it empties into the Rogue River and there the current is swift and very strong. A canoe has broken away from it’s mooring and is starting to drift down stream. The couple that were canoeing are strolling in the park and don’t realize that anything is amiss. Perhaps this little canoe will end up in another world of swift currents, rocks and buried trees. Over looking the Nerang River towards Surfers Paradise with a nearly full moon rising. This little spot has been providing me with plenty of Bream and Flatty’s the last few days and is not a bad place to watch the world go by from this sandy stretch of beach.

Well I did change my spot to bring sunset over the Nerang River and the Hi-Rises of Surfers Paradise. Taken from behind the Council Chambers at Evandale, great spot for a bbq and wet a line or bring the kids to swim in the lagoon. / Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.
