What a sight this was, the sky was burning orange! I love how the city looks so small compared to that enormous storm cloud… this was taken at ascot, looking over Brisbane 17.05.08 at 4:55 pm just as the sun was setting… This storm was incredible to watch, until i had to run back to the car because the wind was going to pick me and my camera up + within minutes the city wasn’t visible anymore…

This was the most amazing sight – last night we had a huge storm and the sky was incredible. Here is a photo taken a few minutes before the storm hit (4:55 pm), the colour is as it came out of my camera (I did crop the trees from the bottom) ... The atmosphere was electric!

At Hunters Gorge on the Diamantina River in outback Queensland. The bird life here was amazing. The setting sun hit the gorge wall lighting it up glowingly and it then reflected in the still waters,I wached as slowly this pelecan drifted into the reflected glow of the golden sun.

/ / I waited until almost midnight to photgraph this, they only flower at night opening fully around midnight, by morning they are just a limp reminder of their beauty, I forgot to move the pot plant [large so it is rather heavy ,to a light source during the day] so I had to stumble about in the dark, I did have a torch a distance away as we have many spiders to get tangled in to the webs. I had to keep it away incase it interfeered with the photo. Now I have no idea about technical talk but readin the info on properties light source flash and auto ;lens ap.3.00 metering mode patterned;lens focus auto; exp auto, I lightened the pic a tiny bit using Microsoft Photo Editing. Camera Panasonic Lumix DMC F27

A must to view larger!!!!We’ve had some really stunning sunsets lately and I just couldn’t resist this one, I was on my way home and had to find somewhere high up quickly to get this shot. My daughter phoned me and said I hope you’re taking a photo. I actually drove to a carpark behind a commercial building and took this over the rear wire fence. I now have a new fave spot if there’s a great sunset! Panoramics /
