  • An explosion of soft centred chocolate, foil wrappers and romance.

  • This is my favorite photo of all! There is a wild red rose by my kitchen door. Late one afternoon, I was clipping tired blooms from the clusters; some clusters were hanging down. As I reached for this one to turn it over, a glimpse of gold flashed in the low sun. I looked again and discovered this tiny little frog napping in the heart of the bloom. I had only the negative and a small digital file from a scan, and it has taken me a month to get it into the appropriate high-resolution format where I can finally offer it for sale! • MARION CHAMPMAN is a wonderful artist and a lover of patterns and design.. Printmaking and experimenting with all kinds of materials and colors.. she really turns my head.. Marion… truth be told.. Kauai is not a very pastel-y place.. so I took my photo and gave it a Marion Wash.. I love this shot..I do not know what this is but I spent some time with this guy..It was a very tall tree and that is how the leaves grow on it.. no branches!! Marion’s Chapman’s Pastels inspired Maddy of Smudge ARt Fame to write a most lovely lovely piece.. My gratitude for the Love here is ever growing.. Thank YOu Maddy! What beauty is this I behold ? / “A feast to ones eye”, I am told. / Leaves wrapped in soft hues. / Colors of gold, red and spiritual blues. “A tree without branches ”, she did say. / Just leaves that enfold it in every way. / Lina sad, this tree amazed me so, / I could not look at it and just let it go. It inspired me until I returned home, / In my minds eye, this is the tone. / I know Creator left this for me to do, / So I painted it gold, red and spiritual blue.

I have personally had the honour of working with Ian many moons ago (no… I’m not an actor or TV person!) and he is a delight and very witty man who deserves to be honoured with a tribute t-shirt! Enjoy. Brother Adam Youtube Video .

  • / CLICK THIS IMAGE TO READ MORE ABOUT IT! BONUS COLLAGE! What you see here is one of several works of art to be posted over the next seven days – the results of a seven day smackdown between myself, and the fabulous Angi Sullins and Silas Toball – where Angi made a traditional collage, and then gave it to Silas and I, letting us loose on it with our photoshop skills. :) For this one – I was really draw to one element in particular, in the original collage. Some orange detailing that made me think of goldfish, or koi. I couldn’t get the image out of my head… no matter that the whole focus of the original collage was BUNNIES! LOL So, instead of following the white rabbit, and dove into the lily pond with the fishies. Here is the original collage: (TO BE POSTED MOMENTARILY)
