My daddy is an 84 year old WWII veteran and a lifelong resident of southern Louisiana who loves LSU with a passion. His team won the National Championship last night so he’s really smiling today. Here he is in all his purple and gold regalia celebrating his love for the Tigers, a sweet victory for Daddy, especially after battling cancer a few months ago. I’m posting this card especially for family and friends who might want to have this as a keepsake of a joyful moment in Daddy’s life.

I just can’t believe the bits and bob’s i am finding from nearly 20yrs ago! arghhh am i just giving my age away here. lol…............, i thought they were really hideous back then, luckily i kept them, as i look back and think ‘oh not that bad i guess’

Former Louisiana Governor, Jimmy Davis, is just as well known for his song, “You are my Sunshine,” as he is for his role in politics. I love the lyrics of that song, “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine; you make me happy when skies are gray. You’ll never know, dear, how much I love you. Please don’t take my sunshine away.” I thought this little goldfinch was a good companion with the lyrics of that song.
