I want both of us / To start talking about this Great Love As if You, I and the Sun were all married / And living in a tiny room. / Helping each other to cook, / Do the wash, / Weave and sew / Care for our beautiful / Animals. We all leave each morning / To labor on the earth’s field. / No one does not lift a great pack. I want both of us to start singing like two / Traveling minstrels / About this Extraordinary Existence / We Share, As If, You, I, and God were all married And living in / A Tiny / Room

Here’s a poem I wrote to compliment my photo “Watch the Thorns”. Hope you like it! (This is the link if you want to see the picture: “http://www.redbubble.com/people/mcval/art/67604-watch-the-thorns” ) Subtle Rose Harsh words befit your heart / Twisted by savage thorn / Entwined by a beguiling dark art / Leaving Godly thoughts unborn Still the light that shines through you / Is more benevolent than meets the eye / It shines with love like a cobalt blue / Before whispering a fond goodbye

in my disgrace of looking in the mirror at my face. / i up the pace and go with haste, that i may leave this place. / go without a trace, be erased, afterlife embraced / no longer in the chase, moving on from lost faith / these are the thoughts of a basket case dreams of death and silence riddle me / visions of breath and science belittle me / because what cannot be explained doesn’t even have a explanation / based on fake facts of the past / history is a lie, the pictures i’ve seen were painted… / just like today’s painters can paint imaginations they’ve seen / but that does not make the painting, a painting of something real! / my imagination riddles me with such questions, / as if, if there is “A” god / why would he let others worship another “GOD”? / and where did this god come from? / it/he/she/whatever had to start from something! / blah the reminisce of my mind is a scary place… so i shall right about it

  • Time To Believe That God Is Alway With Us

Time To Believe That God Is Always With Us. / ...

Time To Believe That God Is Always With Us. / by / Oscar Elizondo Friday night on the 24th of August I went through a religious experience like no other. My wife Janie and my two sons Josh and Eli and I had just returned from a wonderful time together as a family. We all were in the apartment down stairs still talking about something of interest when I decided to take my pet dog Oscar outside to do his business. / It must have been around eleven o’clock as it was a good time for him to do it before bedtime. I put the leash on him and told the boys that I would be back in a few short minutes as was customary for our dog to relief himself before daybreak. He went under a tree right outside our apartment and no more than fifty or so steps away from our bedroom window. / In less than two minutes or so I found myself fighting for my life. Soon as our dog was finished I proceeded to escort him back to our apartment and so I walk through the semi-dark parking lot. As I turned around to make the turn to our door a tall man approached me from behind a parked white van. / He ran straight towards me as the dog barked and I pulled on the leash. I was unaware that the man held a gun in his right hand and it was aimed at me. In the confusion and believing that my dog was out of control I hesitated to look at the man instantly until it was too late. / The six foot two or so man held the handgun right at my left eye and demanded my wallet. I refused and said no in a very stern voice not fully aware of what was really happening. He told me that he was robbing me and that I better hand over my wallet. It was at that moment that I knew I was in danger of getting shot in the head, but I also knew that if I panic he just might fire the gun regardless of what I did. / I held my ground as Oscar the dachshund tried to bite him. His hand kept changing positions as he tried to shoot at one of us. I told him not to shoot my dog and he tried to take my wallet, but with the dog viciously getting close to bitting his leg he let go and told me again to hand it over. When I responded with a no for an answer he again changed the weapon to his left hand and made a fist with his right as he was about to punch me. / I placed my left arm up to block the blow but the force still hit part of my arm and my left side of my head. However, I remained up right as I prepared to take a swing at him too. I was not fast enough as he took the gun back in his right hand and held it to my face. / I braced myself for a bullet and I told him that he could have the wallet and not to shoot because I had a family. I had two sons and a handicap wife were my next words as I believed that his next move would be my last. He kept telling me to turn around but I refused because I told him that I would not turn my back at him. I did not want to die with a bullet to the back of my head so I continued to tell him that the wallet was his but that I would not turn around. / Instead I extend my backend and told him to take the wallet and go. Well, he did take the wallet and demanded that I run. I hurried, but I did not run because it would mean I would have to give my back to him. He ran towards again, and I prayed that he would miss. / He pointed the weapon at my head, but didn’t fire. My older son heard the dog barking so loud that he went outside to see what was happening. I didn’t see the man run because I was preparing to hear the gun go off. Before I knew it my son was walking towards me and asking why the dog was barking. I told him to hide because I had just been robbed and the man had a gun and to call the police. Well, the rest is history as I am still alife to write the true account of this story. / / Copyright© 2008 Oscarelizondo /

  • Loneliness

Boring, meaningless life, / Is that why I’m alive? / To go on without you, / What I got to do? I wake up at 6 o’clock, / Nobody to listen, nobody to talk, / Feeling so lonely, so empty inside, / So helpless, how can I survive? I go outside, where the world is, / Nobody sees me, nobody to miss. / I slowly go through street, / Maybe someone will notice the biggest “It”? Still nothing, only tears in my eyes, / World full of anger, world full of lies. / Asking myself : “Why am I here ?” / Hello! Does anyone care? No answer… I’m dead inside, / Not literately, but I wouldn’t mind. / I wouldn’t mind to vanish from this world, / Which is so cruel to me, so cold. Still walking slowly, / Not sure where I’m going, but I’m lonely. / Nobody understands me, nobody sees, / When it hurts inside, what it feels to be me. I’m homeless, no roof over my head, / Basically, I should be dead. / Left alone by loved ones, by my friends, / This is how everything ends. I’m making my final step, / Which I’ll never forget. / I’m going to let my soul fly and live, / Live in peace, happiness, where everyone knows how to forgive. Standing on the roof, only me and my soul, / I’m ready to make my last goal. / On such a quiet dark night / I will finally see the light. But… I suddenly hear the Lords voice. / He is angry with my choice. / “Don’t do it. Just wait a little more. / You’ll find someone to live for.” I couldn’t believe my eyes, / God himself gave me advice. / And then I quietly thought, / He was the light, He taught me a lot. I woke up at 6 oclock, / Still nobody to talk, / But I knew something will happen soon, / So I already was over the moon.
