FAITHFUL IS HE WHO HAS PROMISED [poem by Annie Johnson Flint] / Are you passing through a testing. Is your pillow wet with tears? Do you wonder what the reason, Why it seems God never hears? Why it is you have no answer To your oft, repeated plea, Why the heaven still is leaden As you wait on bended knee? Do you wonder as you suffer, Whether God does understand, And if so, why He ignores you, Fails to hold you in His Hand? / Do black doubts creep in, assail you, Fears without—and fears within, Till your brave heart almost falters And gives way to deadly sin? All God’s testings have a purpose, Someday you will see the light. All He asks is that you trust Him, Walk by faith and not by sight. / Do not fear when doubts beset you, Just remember – He is near; He will never, never leave you, He will always, always hear. Faithful is He who has promised, He will never let you fall, Daily will the strength be given Strength for each and strength for all. / He will gladly share pain with you, He will gladly give you peace. Till your tired and weary body Finds its blessed, glad release. When the darkened veil is lifted, Then, dear heart, you’ll understand Why it is you had to suffer, Why you could not feel His hand Giving strength when it was needed, Giving power and peace within. Giving joy thru tears and trial, Giving victory over sin. So till then just keep on trusting, Thru the sunshine and the rain. [Heb. 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)]

I don’t know who wrote these words but I always liked them, so a long time back I added them to a lovely photo I found in the public domain at pdphoto.org…I thought it would make a very thought-provoking card, especially as in ‘thinking of you’ or ‘get well soon’ or perhaps, ‘Happy Easter’...by Pat.
you watch / yet i am blind / to the sorrow / of others / you listen / yet i fail to hear / the cries / around me / you call / my name / yet i neglect / to heed / running far / as you reach out / to pull me near
Been working on this off and on, it was a shoot I did some months back for some clients…. and well, I keep thinking of my own boyo whom I lost last year in August of 08. He was my pal forever and I had him for 14 years. He was Malamute/Collie Mix.. a collimute. tee hee I just saw a puppy yesterday, my heart sang so loud I almost thought.. / Naww.. none can replace my boyo. But this job gives me alot of time to be able to care for a pup. Well this was a first for me to think about it at all! So then I had to add this to the mix. There is indeed a vibration unique to the Dog world. I nearly went ga ga yesterday with this little furry pup. I have not thought of a dog at all since he left and said surely I would not have one till the next life. But damn.. that puppy made me all warm and fuzzy inside!!

I have set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. / (Genesis 9.13-15:) Thoughts On A Rainbow… / After the rain, moisture is left / it settles in the air, / a rainbow appears, how and why? / do you stop and stare? Is it the many colours, / that make a giant arch / that reach to a pot of gold, / that we can never touch? The rays of colour in the sky / that really are not there? / the 7 stripes to make a wish / or don’t you even care? Are there magical lands to see? / and Little Ponies playing? / Is Kermit there with lollipops? / Cause if he is, I’m staying! Timothy Darvill, Professor of Archaeology at Bournemouth University, has recently revealed research that he believes shows that Stonehenge was an ancient healing place. In his new book ‘Stonehenge: The Biography of a Landscape’ the professor cites that human remains excavated from burial mounds near Stonehenge, reveal that many of the buried had been ill prior to their death. The remains also seem to have come from far and wide, like the Amesbury Archer who originated from what is now known as Switzerland. The professor believes that Stonehenge would have been mainly used during the winter solstice, when our ancestors believed it was occupied by Apollo, the Greek and Roman god of Healing. The stones are great / And magic power they have / Men that are sick / Fare to that stone / And they wash that stone / And with that water bathe away their sickness..... Layamon’s poem, ‘Brut’, written around AD1215 seems to reinforce this use of Stonehenge, and is one of the earliest Megalithic Poems. I dedicate this painting in gratitude, to Sir Cecil Herbert Edward Chubb, 1st Baronet ,14 April 1876 – 22 September 1934 – who was the last private owner of Stonehenge and donated this wonderful site to the British Government in 1918. Fallen Angel You fell out of the sky and into my arms / I’m telling you this and my words are true / I’ll do my best to take care of you / Your my fallen angel and I’ll never do you harm / Until I can get you back in the sky I’ll keep you safe / I’ll get you back to the heavens, so just keep your faith / I know I have to send you back someday / Yet I want you to stay and live my way / Ever since I caught you I’ve been feeling strange / It’s love that I’m feeling / I love you my beautiful fallen angel poem by Kevin Fisher
A loverly little poem by an unknown author. I have added it to a photoshopped pic of my Newman…so fitting… Newman was a staffy x red heeler. I lost him earlier this month (october 2009) God’s dog poem When God had made the Earth / and the sky, the flowers and the trees, / He then made all the animals / and all the birds and bees. / / And when his work was finished, / not one was quite the same. / He said,’I’ll walk this earth of / mine and give each one a name.’ And so he travelled land and / sea and everywhere he went, / One little creature followed him / Until its strength was spent. When all was named upon the / earth and in the sky and sea, / This little creature said,’Dear / Lord, there’s not one left for me.’ The father smiled and softly / said,’I’ve left you to the end, / I’ve turned my own name back / To front and called you ‘dog’, / my friend.’ / (author unknown) 3 sales Nov 2, 2009-proceeds to the RSPCA Ballarat
I photographed the lighthouse off of Fairport Harbor in the very cold month of February, 2007. I felt alone in alcohol and substance abuse. Lost , desperate, and fighting a losing battle. It’s casualties; my health, many friendships, and it’s greatest loss, severed relationships with my sister, and many of my wife’s family members. Poof! all gone! I have been a serious alcoholic and substance abuser since February 25, 1977. At 3:30 am, I got a phone call, I was to go to Lutheran Hospital to Identify the body of my 3 year old son, Jason. His mom left him alone with a candle burning that fell and caught curtains on fire. She was in Brooklyn Hts jaiI, driving with no licence. and D.U.I.. My little son has past, with 35 years having gone by. It’s true you know for me, it’s still like yesterday. Remembering, hurts beyond words. My love for him, it ’s been thirtyfive years….
