For the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo… These are the words: AN INVITATION. / It is human nature to be / overwhelmed by the inequality / so apparent in todays world. / Few people have never / wondered why it is they have so / much and others so little. / This confusion and concern / provides hope for the people / of D.R. I hear the angels weeping. / I see their heads bowed low. / Their wings surround / Those broken-hearted, / So wounded by this FOE! I see the angels huddled / Near a mother, in such pain, / Because the child / She searches for / May ne’er be found again. I hear the brush of angel’s wings, / So near they are to you. / GOD sent them there / To minister for these / Trials you’re going through. by Mary Carter Mizrany
Another shot from my cemetery series. This shot really caught my eye, man lays asleep waiting for the resurrection and nature lays dormant waiting for that breath of new life come spring. The orange of the leaves is a promise and a sign of hope that this is not the end of life but only the beginning. / / More in this cemetery series: / / / / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / /
This tree root is on the northern periphery of our property. We’ve lived here for over 35 years, and it’s been here all that time, in exactly the same state you see it here. I marvel at its perfect heart shape and think it’s a little note from God to remind me of his undying love. I borrowed the title from the refrain of a hymn written by Father John Foley, S.J. / Here are the lyrics of that hymn: Dwelling Place / by John Foley, SJ I fall on my knees to the Father of Jesus / The Lord who has shown us, the glory of God. May He in His love give us strength for our living / The strength of His Spirit, the glory of God. May Christ find a dwelling place of faith in our hearts / May our lives be rooted in love, rooted in love. May grace and peace be yours in God our Father / And in His son. May Christ find a dwelling place of faith in our hearts / May our lives be rooted in love, rooted in love.

The early morning sun streaming through the East window of our bedroom enhanced the warmth of this tender moment between my daughter and her father. She loved Saturday mornings because of the opportunity to snuggle up closer to her father when he didn’t have to leave for work. I relinquished my place in our bed to grab my camera and capture this special time. This picture was taken 10 years ago, and my little girl is now a teenager who still loves to crawl up into her daddy’s lap. On a spiritual note, I have spent many years trying to sort out the “character” of God… His presence in our lives, if He is demanding or compassionate? When I see this picture I understand the heart of a father towards his child and I can believe that I am cherished by our Father in Heaven. Some people believe there is no God. I can understand that too. But to borrow a quote from a favorite movie of mine, (Second Hand Lions) “Sometimes the thing we need most to believe in may or may not be true.” Whatever you choose to believe in, if it is good for your heart, then cling to it with all your might. Surely you are still our Father! Even if Abraham and Jacob would disown us, LORD, you would still be our Father. You are our Redeemer from ages past. / NLT Isaiah 63:16 A tender greeting for a Father’s Day card! / /
100% OF ALL PROCEEDS FROM SALES OF MY ART OR DONATED ART GOES TO PHILADELPHIA MISSION, A REGISTERED CHARITY. WE WORK WITH EXTREME POOR SICK AND DISABLED IN ISOLATED AND RURAL AFRICAN VILLAGES. This is Violet aged 15 years old. She works in the fields from sunrise to sunset. Her Parents are dead. Violet works the small plot of land hoping to grow enough food for herself, her three younger brothers and sick Grandfather. she has a disability caused by Rickets, a disease that is common here. Her upper and lower limbs are bowed outwards. Yet Violet must force herself to work, or her dependants will starve. Please help us to help her and many more like her. This poem was beautifully written by a very talented poet and Writer called Adgray. God Bless you for wring this fitting piece . Does she dream of dancing and movies and fun / this girl with the faraway eyes / Has she the wish to kiss Brad Pit / Did she cry when Heath Ledger died? / What does she wish for when Christmas comes? / an ipod or mobile phone? / Does she complain there’s no chocolate again / in the fridge when she gets home. We complain we don’t have enough to survive / Money to cover our bills / and purchase the service and goods we desire / AND the luxury home in the hills / But where does it say life must be this way / That we have and she has not / That our world be of greed luxury and games / and hers of pain and hard lot. I look in the depths of these faraway eyes / and I think of my own teenage life / How I struggled with that I was expected to do / and rebelliously got into strife / I look at my own daughter of fifteen years / And know how I fiercely protect her / I support all her learnings and all her dreams / and use all my wisdom to guide her. But they are similar these girls far apart / for my daughter also cares for her home / She looks out for her younger siblings as well / and is rarely allowed to roam. And I wonder if having is really a curse / for to have not enough creates stress / equal to that of not enough food / but granted the consequence is less I shall show all my children these faraway eyes / for this girl is also one of their peers / their ages are similar their wants must compare / how I long to abate all her tears / I cannot succeed in my western world life / I struggle myself to survive / But oh how I wish I could lavish life’s gifts / On those beckoning faraway eyes. Please visit Charity website: http://www.philadelphia33.org/ 100% of all money raised from sale ofall my art goes toward the extreme poor in isolated villages in Africa. I will never forget taking this photograph, as I was standing waiting for the ferry to come. Anyone who has been to rural Africa will know that things runs on African time. That’s why I call them Last minute.com. After three hours, these two guys came to me and said the ferry Had broke down on the other side, and that they would take me accross. So I got in, with all my camera equipment and a very wet Interpreter, who fell into the water. / One the way accross I suddenly realised that the large boat coming straight towards us was the Ferry. It was so funny. The fishermen refused to take any payment, as they said it would bring good fortune to the, as they had a white man in their boat. they both recieved Jesus as Lord and Saviour. It was really a blessed boat trip. visit: / http://www.philadelphia33.org/

Thank you to all of you who have donated and prayed for little Grace. She is now in good health and has made a great recovery. Praise God, I am so happy right now. Grace and other children who suffer so much Inspires me to work 12-14 hours per day sharing their plight with others and fund-raising.. I have not had the good fortune of ever having a salary for what I do. but God rewards me in many other ways. To see a child tat would have died now live and smile is wonderful. To empower the poor with more than just hope is what I live and work for. In Tunga/Zuga village, a remote village in Kebbe state Nigeria, there are so many children who are without ANY source of help. The village has no source of clean water, since their well collapsed in 2006. Intestinal worm infections, river Blindness, Chronic Diarrhoea, Malnutrition and other preventable diseases are killing and disabling many. We are making a difference and with your Prayers, Donations and support we can not only save their lives, refurbish the old school adn give them education. If it had not been for your prayers and donations for Grace, she would certainly have died. I am deeply thankful to you all. We can make a difference. / Please continue to donate and support these precious people and this mission. You are part of Gods end time plan. PLEASE READ THIS. Taken in a Gypsy settlement close to Kallakurachi. India. Some of you will know me through my Writings and photographs of Extreme poor in Remote and Rural villages in Africa, and correspondence here on RB. God called me in 1994 to go and share his Message with the poor, disadvantaged and outcast, I have with great passion and little Financial support being doing what he has commissioned me to do. [My Passion in life is to reach as many poor and disadvantaged in Remote and rural villages with the Gospel of Jesus, and provide practical help and care]. I have with the help, Prayers and support of precious people worldwide been able to not only share Gods message of salvation, but provide Tools, Clothing, Bibles, Some School fees, Seeds, Medicines and other needful things to empower them to live better lives. Recently here on RB in the past two years, God has blessed me with many new precious friends. I thank God for you all. In Uganda during 2001-2003, God used me to expose Children being sold by extremely desperate and poor families, to those who had money and who they thought would give their child a better life. I detest this, yet in most cases, not all, the parents or carers could no longer provide for the child. With their government unable, or unwilling to help, they look to those outside their community and tribe for an answer. In India where I and the Philadelphia Charity are now working with NARI-KOR-AVARS gypsy tribe, I came across several cases of children for sale. I personally have been offered children. One for sale and one to take home to Britain and care for her. The reason why I am sharing this with you is that the above Photograph is of one such child. Some of you will experience feelings of Unbelief that this happens, and others strong emotions of anger and disgust. I am asking you to have a thought for the Mother of this child and pray for her. In extreme poverty, Outcast from Society and treated lower than a dog, almost everywhere she goes. She has tried her very best to provide food and shelter. She is sick in body and wept genuine tears of sorrow, as she asked me buy her child for for 5000 Rupees = $100. Please help us to help these precious parents and carers with tools, seeds, Clothing, income, practical help, so tey never be in the position of giving away or selling their child as a last resort to saving that child and giving it a better future. This is happening not just in India or Africa, but in other countries also. Some sell their children purely for selfish gains. But I have not yet met any. those I met are heartbroken and doing something that must be unthinkable to any of us . 100% of all money raised from sale of any of my art, or donations made via our charity website goes to help extreme poor in Africa and India. PLEASE STATE IF YOU MAKE A DONATION VIA BMAIL, IF YOU WANT YOUR DONATION TO GO TO INDIAN GYPSIES AID OR TO EXTREME POOR IN AFRICA. Paper Doll the reason for the flowers are …the iris and the columbine flowers are associated in religious painting as the Virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit …everything I put into my work is never random each line is a moment a memory a dream …something within me. I aslo added the poppies under the dolls as they are thought of as the flowers of sleep and death …

.Please Read this. This really was a special moment for me. I never knew that Lenti and the other children in this village had never seen a Biscuit/cookie before. She looked at it for almost 3 minutes and only began to eat it when she saw a member of our mission staff eat hers. Lenti is a precious little girl who was very ill when she came to our Mission Centre. Medicines alone just could not save her life. We prayed and trusted God to heal her and he did. We provided lots of Love and High Protein biscuits/cookies and Multi-vitamins, provided by you, whom we and the Lord depend upon. This gives me so much joy and drives me even harder to raise the funds to save and bless many more like Lenti. / My Passion and inspiration is God given, and although I lack Finances, it has never stopped me blessing these children. As St. Luke (who was a physician) said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, ...” / +Luke 4: 18 + This is a success story and with your help we can make many more success stories. We land on our bums or stand tall and proud / But at least if we’ve followed our dreams / Our lives will be full and not ruled by the crowd…
This is a few bits and pieces that I put together over the last couple of months, mostly about love. Some parts are modified comments or themes from comments, also there are ideas, themes and metaphor inspired by other RedBubble writers. Audio recording of this poem
I have posted the lyrics to this song before, however, I thought of the same song while creating this artwork of Mary holding Jesus as a baby. Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man? / Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand? / Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod? / And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God. / / December 6, 2009
St Luke’s Church After a Snow Fall, London, UK / Best Viewed Larger. / St Luke’s Church, West Norwood, London, UK. / This is the Church where I serve as Incumbent. An Incumbent is the resident Vicar / Parish Priest. The People here a full of the Love of Jesus Christ and that love overflows into the lives of everyone. / / What does a Parish Priest do? Well, first I’m a man of prayer, secondly, I serve the Lord Jesus Christ and minister to His people. As a leader of the Church I teach and equip others to serve Him too. We serve by ministering God’s love in our community, families and to the ends of the earth. We have people from the Church serving in many different ways. Some have gone to Africa to build a hospital, school, and orphanage. Others serve in the local community, helping the homeless and destitute. We also minister in a Home for people with incurable diseases, and sheltered accommodation looking after people who cannot cope on their own. We support one another in our Christian walk with Jesus Christ. Oh and I’ve also been known to conduct a few hundred weddings, funerals, baptisms, thanksgivings. Why do we do all this? Because God has poured out His love into our hearts, and we long to show our appreciation by loving others and Him in return. / Jesus taught us to; love our enemies, do good to those that hate us and despitefully use us, be hospitable, generous, kind, loving, self-controlled, forgiving, patient. He gives us the power to do all these things so we cannot boast. Every Christian recognises that he’s a forgiven sinner made right by Jesus Christ in God’s sight. We cannot judge anyone else, but we can communicate his loving standards trying to do so in as humble a way possible. He has a message for the whole world this Christmas time. Repent, Believe and Receive. That means repenting from everything we know is wrong in our lives, turning in belief and trust in Jesus Christ for His forgiveness, and receiving Him as Lord and Saviour. God sent His Son because He loves us so much, He knows how much we need Him in our lives. Open your heart to the LOVE of God this Christmas. Be Happy, Have Fun, Rejoice. God LOVES YOU. / And so do I fellow Bubblers….. XXX Don. Camera. Nikon D700 with 24-120mm Lense. / ISO 200 f/8.0.
