Taken from my blog: I was going through some paintings in my studio and stumbled upon this one that I had done some time ago. I had initially put it aside calling it a “WIP” and had fully intended to go back and do more work on it but never did. I’d shown it as a WIP to some arteeeest friends who had liked it very much “as is” and then just rolled it up and forgot about it. It’s huge…not exactly sure off hand how large but it’s on unstretched canvas….I’d say about 4ft X 5ft. What this piece represents is (and I remember painting it during one of those dry spiritual periods when I was trying desperately to pray but just couldn’t find the words) our prayers, which are sometimes nothing more than moans and groans….but are interpreted for us by the Holy Spirit giving us a direct and uninterrupted line to our Father. This happens often during our times of spiritual emptiness when we are reaching out to God and the words just don’t come. For those of you who are Christians, you will know this scripture from the Bible: Romans 8:26 (New International Version) “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.” Anyway, when I pulled the painting out this morning, I decided that just as Jesus said on the cross, “it is finished”.....and would like to share it with you all. Never stop talking to God, He always hears….even the moans and groans! Be Blessed. /

Hmmm…not sure what i can say about this really! I considered the use of the product in this picture, but concluded that if warhol can do it…and its not a negative association…could you get a better celebrity to endorse your product than Jesus? Postmodern, Appropriation…Advertising Parody! Dont take it too serious, It Humourous!!! / . /

EDIT 10/08: Fixed the kerning and position. More tee-shirt colours available. Bigger type. You know, one day I was thinking… Pastors and anyone in ministry definitely have a divine job. I mean, that’s what Jesus was/is when He came down 2K years ago… He was/is the Good Shephard. But what about me? what about a little ol’ designer. Then, like a revelation from heaven, I thought “but wait, God IS a designer. He is THEE Designer.” Think about it, Genesis chp1, what did He do, He created. He used His creativity to design all that we know now to be true. He used colors, textures, sizes, scents, flavors to design everything. All we did was name stuff afterwards (ask Adam). In conclusion, the Graphic Design occupation is the closest thing to divinity as are the Cherubins in Heaven. So designers, don’t fret, we get our creativity from the Big Boss. — / Angel A. Often I veer off the path laid before me and take my own direction…I’m human, that’s just what we do….but it is comforting to know that God is with us always, never leaving nor forsaking us…quietly speaking to our hearts and guiding us back to Him as we go through this journey. St Agnes of Rome (c. 291 – c.304 virgin–martyr) is often depicted carrying a little lamb. She is the patron saint of chastity, gardeners, girls, engaged couples, rape victims, and virgins.
