Rebecca rarely speaks but loves to sing songs she learned from passing missionaries. She works in her grandmothers small garden. Her Grandmothers house is almost falling down. The villagers are very loving toward her, but Food is scare here. Please pray and help us to help children like Rebecca. This is Violet aged 15 years old. She works in the fields from sunrise to sunset. Her Parents are dead. Violet works the small plot of land hoping to grow enough food for herself, her three younger brothers and sick Grandfather. she has a disability caused by Rickets, a disease that is common here. Her upper and lower limbs are bowed outwards. Yet Violet must force herself to work, or her dependants will starve. Please help us to help her and many more like her. Does she dream of dancing and movies and fun / this girl with the faraway eyes / Has she the wish to kiss Brad Pit / Did she cry when Heath Ledger died? / What does she wish for when Christmas comes? / an ipod or mobile phone? / Does she complain there’s no chocolate again / in the fridge when she gets home. We complain we don’t have enough to survive / Money to cover our bills / and purchase the service and goods we desire / AND the luxury home in the hills / But where does it say life must be this way / That we have and she has not / That our world be of greed luxury and games / and hers of pain and hard lot. I look in the depths of these faraway eyes / and I think of my own teenage life / How I struggled with that I was expected to do / and rebelliously got into strife / I look at my own daughter of fifteen years / And know how I fiercely protect her / I support all her learnings and all her dreams / and use all my wisdom to guide her. But they are similar these girls far apart / for my daughter also cares for her home / She looks out for her younger siblings as well / and is rarely allowed to roam. And I wonder if having is really a curse / for to have not enough creates stress / equal to that of not enough food / but granted the consequence is less I shall show all my children these faraway eyes / for this girl is also one of their peers / their ages are similar their wants must compare / how I long to abate all her tears / I cannot succeed in my western world life / I struggle myself to survive / But oh how I wish I could lavish life’s gifts / On those beckoning faraway eyes. A Parents Prayer for their sick child. / (2 Samuel 12:22) David answered: While he was still alive, I went without food and cried because there was still hope. I said to myself, “Who knows? Maybe the LORD will have pity on me and let the child live.” I am an Irish born Missionary living in London I spend much time living with the Kambari tribe, I get to know first hand the challenges they face each day just to survive. I also have the privilege of capturing not only hunger, sickness and often death, but the more happy occasions. This is Grace, and when I first met Grace in April 2007, she was suffering from Chronic Malnutrition, adn intestinal worm infection. This was taken in December 2007, and the difference in 2009 is wonderful. Thank you to all who prayed and donated towards saving Grace. I will never forget taking this photograph, as I was standing waiting for the ferry to come. Anyone who has been to rural Africa will know that things runs on African time. That’s why I call them Last minute.com. After three hours, these two guys came to me and said the ferry Had broke down on the other side, and that they would take me accross. So I got in, with all my camera equipment and a very wet Interpreter, who fell into the water. / One the way accross I suddenly realised that the large boat coming straight towards us was the Ferry. It was so funny. The fishermen refused to take any payment, as they said it would bring good fortune to the, as they had a white man in their boat. they both recieved Jesus as Lord and Saviour. [portrait taken in Natural Light] : 16/11/2008 [AS IS] I was walking from one village to the next, in Remote Nigeria. one of the team noticed this young girl following us for some time. I stopped and spoke to her through an interpretor. We learned that she was 13 years old and caring for three younger Sisters. As she told us here story, I Felt compelled to return to her village. There we met her three younger sisters in the most extreme poverty. Both Parents were dead and no other living relatives. We spoke to the village Chief and the elders who pleaded with us to help the family. We did, as God lead us to and blessed her with clothing, and the following day we sent two of our field workers to meet with her and now they have a small regular income from our mission funds. UPDATE 5-8-2009. Mary is now at School. We pay her school fees adn her three younger sisters are well and happy. We need help with Susan, aged 9. She wants to go to school also. We need help with school fees, uniform adn text books. Can you help? will you Help? Grace looks at me with eyes of love and hope, as we explain to her that we will get medicines that will make her better. Grace is very ill and has intestinal worms. Here in developed countries If a child is sick with worms, a doctor will provide medicines to cure that child. they will get the best treatment possible. But in Tunga/Zuga, there is no Doctor and the nearest hospital is a grueling 40plus miles away. even then if the family has no money, the child will be refused treatment, except on rare occasions. Many Children here die from worm infection mainly caused by drinking polluted water. When the well dries up there is no choice. Thanks to your Prayers and financial donations. />I am a missionary born in Northern Ireland and living in London for the past 23 years. This photograph of Angelena was taken while at a Church service in, Nigeria. This was the first time i met her. She was sitting at the back of the church against the wall on a seat all alone. I used full zoom and took over 50 photographs of her. This is the only one that came out good. this was not a planned pose and I caught her like this without her knowing. she was quite a distance from me. I was sitting on the platform waiting to be called to speak. This young Girl inspired me so much. Her young life is an inspiration to me of how faith and hope can carry us through difficult times. Angelina is 12 years old . She is one of the children we have been caring for for the past three years. When we found her three years ago she was close to death and without Parents. Three years later she is loved and attends school. We can and do make a difference to children in extreme poverty and sick. All it takes is Love and a heart of compassion to sow a little time and money into a child’s life and you will see the transformation. Angelina was dying from malaria when we first saw her. Now she lives a full life. She says she wants to be a doctor and help others who are sick. Alfred is a young boy who has and does inspire me to raise awareness and raise funds and tools to help these extreme poor in Africa. We do this through Philadelphia Mission a British Registered Charity. [Reg No: 1049410]. / My great Passion in life is to bless others who are extremely poor, sick and disabled in Rural and Isolated villages in Africa. Alfred was found in Tunga/Zuga village by one of our Evangelist Staff members. He was very ill and had his leg amputated to save his life. He was taken by our staff member and cared for. Now he is in good health and at school. A boy who loves God and life. We can and do make a difference friends. This is Grace and she lives in Tunga/Zuga Village, deep in remote Nigeria. In December 2007, I uploaded Her Photographs and since then many people in Redbubble have been touched by her Beauty and illness. Through the kindness of some here on redbubble, We were able to purchase medicines to save her life. grace was dying from intestinal worms. This is because the village has no clean water. I spoke to our Volunteer worker today who is staying in the village, and he has informed me that Grace is now making a great recovery. Praise God. There are many Like Grace who die each year in agony. We are making a difference. Please pray and help us reach many more like grace. We need your gifts. Thank you to all of you who have donated and prayed for little Grace. She is now in good health and has made a great recovery. Praise God, I am so happy right now. Grace and other children who suffer so much Inspires me to work 12-14 hours per day sharing their plight with others and fund-raising.. I have not had the good fortune of ever having a salary for what I do. but God rewards me in many other ways. To see a child tat would have died now live and smile is wonderful. To empower the poor with more than just hope is what I live and work for. In Tunga/Zuga village, a remote village in Kebbe state Nigeria, there are so many children who are without ANY source of help. The village has no source of clean water, since their well collapsed in 2006. Intestinal worm infections, river Blindness, Chronic Diarrhoea, Malnutrition and other preventable diseases are killing and disabling many. She died on Monday Monday 6th July at 4.35am. our Medical officer [pastor Joshua] and his wife our senior nurse were with her. We just did not have the money to pay for her hospital treatment. Although we pleaded with the hospital Senior medical team, they said they needed $1800 to cover the operation and after-care. Thank you to everyone who was praying for Anna. She is now at peace with our Lord. Please pray for Joan and Samuel, her parents. This was their last born child. Often my work as a missionary, working with extreme poor and sick children can be very emotional.Tears of sorrow and heartbreak, desperation and frustration overwhelm me as I and the small mission team do what we can with the little we have to help. yet there are times like this one when there is joy and happiness as I see people and scenes of great beauty. Truly God has blessed me with a wonderful life. I have never had the joy of owning my own home, or having a nice car or wealth. yet I am so happy to have a relationship with Jesus.God supplies all my needs, and I have travelled with God to many villages and he has blessed many. Life is more than a job,Career, wealth or designer cloths. Life is living in Gods presence everyday and experiencing his love and peace. Life for me is doing what is in Gods heart and that is helping the extreme poor. My Inspiration and passion is from God. I Live for him and he lives through me. I have been on mission and not a penny in my pocket,yet my heavenly father has met my needs,concerning Food,lodging, travel and covered all expenses. One one occasion, he sent an angel to pay my hotel bill. While in India The Lord moved me so much to travel overnight on a train, a day early to return to London. If I had not obeyed his leading, I would have been killed in a terrorist bombing. Its a wonderful Life with God. [Taken in Natural Light]. Taken on the banks of the river Nile, remote Nigeria. I got into conversation with this Muslim girl and I felt s deep compassion for her, as she said She sells peanuts to get money to help her Grandfather who cares for her and her brother and two sisters. Her mother is dead and when she died the father just left and never returned. She told me that she only sold three packets that day and she was selling from around 10 am to 7pm. She did not make enough even to buy basic foods. She spoke good English so I knew she had had some education. I and my fellow mission workers bought what she had left. Then I asked her If I could pray for her. She said yes. I asked God to open her heard adn reveal himself to her. We led to to Christ. She wept and the lord really did touch her. PLEASE READ THIS. Taken in a Gypsy settlement close to Kallakurachi. India. Some of you will know me through my Writings and photographs of Extreme poor in Remote and Rural villages in Africa, and correspondence here on RB. God called me in 1994 to go and share his Message with the poor, disadvantaged and outcast, I have with great passion and little Financial support being doing what he has commissioned me to do. [My Passion in life is to reach as many poor and disadvantaged in Remote and rural villages with the Gospel of Jesus, and provide practical help and care]. I have with the help, Prayers and support of precious people worldwide been able to not only share Gods message of salvation, but provide Tools, Clothing, Bibles, Some School fees, Seeds, Medicines and other needful things to empower them to live better lives. Recently here on RB in the past two years, God has blessed me with many new precious friends. I thank God for you all. In Uganda during 2001-2003, God used me to expose Children being sold by extremely desperate and poor families, to those who had money and who they thought would give their child a better life. I detest this, yet in most cases, not all, the parents or carers could no longer provide for the child. With their government unable, or unwilling to help, they look to those outside their community and tribe for an answer. In India where I and the Philadelphia Charity are now working with NARI-KOR-AVARS gypsy tribe, I came across several cases of children for sale. I personally have been offered children. One for sale and one to take home to Britain and care for her. The reason why I am sharing this with you is that the above Photograph is of one such child. Some of you will experience feelings of Unbelief that this happens, and others strong emotions of anger and disgust. I am asking you to have a thought for the Mother of this child and pray for her. In extreme poverty, Outcast from Society and treated lower than a dog, almost everywhere she goes. She has tried her very best to provide food and shelter. She is sick in body and wept genuine tears of sorrow, as she asked me buy her child for for 5000 Rupees = $100. Please help us to help these precious parents and carers with tools, seeds, Clothing, income, practical help, so tey never be in the position of giving away or selling their child as a last resort to saving that child and giving it a better future. This is happening not just in India or Africa, but in other countries also. Some sell their children purely for selfish gains. PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION. [AS IS} / I am a missionary, born in Northern Ireland and living in London. my passion in life is to help the poor in rural and isolated villages in Africa and India. Abhijeet in Hindu language means “one who is victorious, a star”. She certainly lives up to her name. 3 years old and already has faced abuse, and hunger. She was close to death and in much pain. Abijeet is one child we rescued through The INDIAN NEW LIFE MISSION, based in India. Her smile melted my heart and as I was told her story I could not help give God thanks for the few Indian Christians that reached out to her. With little money, they took her into the Orphanage, where now she is cared for. I now have sponsored Abijeet and for only £10 per month, she is fed, clothed and will attend a full education when she is old enough. I do not get financial funding from any Church, My own income is little. But I made my mind up a long time ago to share what God has blessed me with with the poor. I have not gone hungry, nor my family. I rent my home, and drive a car. My children are all educated and blessed by God. I have lacked nothing,because blesses the sower. Gods burning Love and Passion for the outcast and poor burns deep within my heart, and hopefully can be seen throgh my life and camera lens. http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Jyotika in Hindi means [light] Jyotika is from the NARIK_KAR_AVARS gypsy tribe and lives in a Gypsy camp on the outskirts of Kallakapurom town. India. she has never gone to school because her parents cannot afford the school fees, uniform and text book. It costs £70 = $130 to cover a whole years education. These gypsy people are descendants of the Romany Gypsies. But here in India They are Classed as the outcast and Untouchables by Hindu religion. They live in camps where there is no clean water, Little food and no Sanitation. They have no land, little possessions and live in make shift houses and tents made from sticks and plastic sheets. Each day they make one of bead necklace and only get around £0.15 or $0.30. this is not enough to feed their family well, and there is nothing left for education or medical care. They are chased from towns and even hospital. Jyotika can however go to school and have a great future. Our Partner organisation based in Kallakurachi India, is the only organisation working with these NARI _KAR_AVARS, except Our partner, THE INDIAN NEW LIFE MISSION. We run a Children Boarding home, where we take disadvantaged children with parents consent and Provide accommodation, Education, Food and clothing. They Children return to the camps during Holidays. PLEASE TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO READ THIS. I am an Irish artist and missionary working with extreme poor in Africa and India. In this one camp 52 children suffer from Intestinal worm infection, adn te death rate is very high. This is due to lack of clean water. The is Akuti an Indian gypsy girl aged 11 years old.. Her name means princess and she really is a Gypsy princess. but she like almost all Nara_Kar-Avars gypsy children are treated with contempt, rejection and denied even the basics of life. To be born a gypsy means under Hindu religion to be in the lowest cast system. Known as outcasts and treated as untouchables, Akuti and many millions like her face a life with little hope. She has never gone to school as her parents barely earn enough to feed her, and cannot afford the £70-$130 per year they need for school fees, uniform and text books. My passion and mission in life is to not just Pray and preach to these precious people, but to provide clothing, and the cost of school fees, medical care and provide tools to help them. Philadelphia Mission is a small underfunded, yet effective British charity doing just that in India and Africa. We need you my friend to help us do much more. Become part of this mission today. PLEASE READ THIS. Today I have been in communication with Tunga/Zuga Village, in remote Kebbe state Nigeria. In the past it was not possible to communicate directly with the Village Missionary. But Thanks to The Calvary Church in Abuja, They donated a Communications system and Our Missionary Pastor Jonathan called me. / The First thing he shouted was Grace is now completely well!. / Grace was very ill and would have certainly died, If it was not for some of you here on Redbubble who donated money for Medicines and continued treatment. God Bless you for your genuine Love and your giving. This is amazing Grace!. Her little body was infected with worms, that eat from the inside out. I am a missionary and was born in Northern Ireland and now live in London. My passion and inspiration to work and help these precious poor is born from my personal relationship with God. his love and mercy changed my life completely in 1986. 50 of the 64 children from this village have never gone to school. Mary is 12 years old and she cares for her younger brother. She never has gone to school like most in Tunga/Zuga village. I called this photograph “what If”. What if someone paid the £70 -$120. per year for her school fees, uniform and text books?. What if someone wanted to give Mary a future where she could learn to read, write, and what if Mary learned skills that would earn her money and she could help her younger brother also to go to school? / What if Mary had the change to be what she wants to be, a Nurse?
