The Gyoto Monks of Tibet are an often seen sight at many cultural events in the Byron Bay region. Seen here laughing, this particular monk escaped Tibet into India 50 years ago with His Holiness, The Dali Lama. His trademark expression and enjoying tea and biscuit, the joke is enjoyed by all at the table.

My dog River posing for a portrait in the snow. She has ALWAYS liked her picture being taken since she barely opened her eyes at two weeks of age. Her litter mates ran around when the camera aimed at them but she stood in attention every time a photo opportunity showed up! :) I’m sure she’d be glad that I donate the proceed of the sale of her photos to Nature Canada as she loves woods and her deer friends as much as I do! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.

This is a little bridge in my piece of the woods after the first snow. All is calm and quiet. Even the deer seemed to be walking gingerly – not wanting to disturbed the “peace”. Some may even say that the picture portrays a feeling of “eerie-ness” but for me, it’s just the quietness and serenity. As those who know my work are all aware: I don’t usually “play with” Photoshop effects (of course except frames as I love framing). This time I can’t resist the concept so I used “vivid light” as an effect and add an extra gradient layer on top of the photo. I can only hope it worked.

Back in the deep summer, when all were in blossom and the leaves were rich in color and taste, the doe had plenty of time to experience the “other things” in life than just search for food. One day she decided to figure out what creature it was that I carried around with me and pushed at the top of the “head” from time to time to make a sound. She came so close to the lens that I had to quickly change to a wide-angle one in order to take this photo. The menorah, a seven-branched candelabrum used in the Temple, is one of the oldest symbols of the Jewish faith. Years ago, I found this prayer by an unknown author and have cherished it ever since. I’ve coupled it with a photo I took at Cypremort Point off of Vermilion Bay on the coast of Louisiana. I think deep waters are appropriately symbolic of our hearts and souls and sometimes we have to plunge into their depths, or better still invite the Lord to come there with us, to bring to the surface anything that needs to be revealed for our healing and wholeness and happiness. I think this is a cleansing prayer for the conscience which needs to be visited regularly under the loving presence of God. I hope this blesses someone today.

I created this the other day.. I do not know why I did not UP-load as I love this piece so much…Now I know.. Flip aka Flipteez / Mother has passed. I know Flip thu others here.. not even personally. But when a wonderful friend of mine came to me this morning in complete agony over the death of Flips mom, as it seems she took her own life, I am again reminded of my core belief.. Life after Life. Now the Lion shall Lay with the Lamb. Now your feelings of separation are no more, You shall be united with ALL THAT IS, AND ALL THAT EVER WILL BE. WE ARE ONE /
