The Goblin (inner child/history) weighs heavy on Zombie (ones depressive state) / Coloured pencils on paper. / 18×28cm / 2007 Original work has been sold.
Surrealistic/expressionistic self portrait. ZOMBIE – (Over Self’s shoulder) Self when depressed. Hollow, lifeless, can’t speak to others about my pain as my lips are stitched together. I have no eyes and therefore can not see when people attempt to help me. GOBLIN – (Inside Self) This twisted and tortured cowering soul is the Self’s history. The inner child. Battered by the wrong doings of others. He latches onto the heart because he desperately wants to feel the love. SELF – Stands tall and strong, willing to push on and nurtures the inner child, his history. Charcoal and water colour paint on paper. / 75×100cm / 2007 Original work is still open for sale. Make an inquiry if interested in purchasing. Exhibited: / “Self Portraits” / Selected students from 2nd year Diploma and Cert IV Fine Arts / Front Room Gallery, Newcastle Art School, Newcastle West / 2007
The magical walk to Goblin Swamp, near Pemberton, Western Australia.
Every day hundreds, if not thousands of goblins, orcs, ogres and trolls, find themselves on the wrong end of a variety of pointy weapons and sorcerous incantations. Wearing this t-shirt, featuring a rather pathetic example of the species, will help raise awareness of the plight of these magical creatures. (line art drawn in photoshop, vectorised and coloured in Illustrator…)
Modelled by Veronika and Regina. / Watercolour pencils. / Inspired my the poem “Goblin Market” by Christina Rossetti 1862.
The McDonnell XF-85 Goblin was a parasite fighter – it was designed to be carried in the bomb bay of a B-36. It had no undercarriage and was hung from a hook which retracted into the nose of the Goblin. The extended range of the B-36 meant that it would be flying beyong the range of fighters that could defend it, so the idea was to carry a fighter onboard. America’s own ‘foo fighter’ first flew on 22 July 1948
Opinions needed. I need one or two more images for my Deserts Calendar and this is one candidate. Thumbs up or down? I found these fascinating formations of clay to remind me of pawns on a chessboard. Last Light illuminating the odd formations of Goblin Valley State PArk in Utah.

I was walking Molly yesterday after we had lunch in a cafe that / allows dogs to join their owners for very tasty food. Molly / usually orders chicken tenders (thin strips of fried chicken) / before we share vanilla frozen yogurt while chatting with / the other canines with a sophisticated palate. When I am / in a rush, I stop at Kentucky Fried Chicken for chicken / nuggets and a bisquit that she adores. We usually / park under a tree to eat our food. After lunch, we often / take a walk, but today was different. In one of the / alleys, we heard strange sounds coming from a beautiful / wooden trunk shown in this photograph. / Next to it was a note written in red ink / with large letters that read, “HELP!” “I am trapped / inside this wooden case. I am a good goblin / and do no harm. I make pretty pictures and write / loverly words. Please come to Froud’s ground floor / poop cupboard (what is a poop cupboard?) and when / you unlock this door, I will give you many socks / and a small dog with cheese on him.” He signed / the note, Gargle. Knowing that Goblins can be / nasty characters involved in pranks and thievery / I was hesitant to open this wooden door. When I / started to walk away, I heard the most alarming / wails that startled Molly and me. Goblins are / known to be rude, crass, bold and / they rejoice in causing chaos, spreading stains / and foul odors and causing mischief / every chance they get. Obviously there / is a reason why the goblin Gargle is locked / inside this case so I decided to investigate the / situation before creating a calamity. I plan to / travel to London to discuss with Froud what I fear / could be an infestation of goblins in Los Angeles / and possibly other cities where people are / not aware of the brilliance of Brian Froud / and the goblins he creates. I certainly did / not want Molly and me to be trapped in a / Goblin Realm that are found in damp and / dark corners where light never falls: under the / stairs, behind the refrigerator, or on the far / side of the curio cabinet under the Statue / of Elvis made from real sea-shells that / your aunt bought you from Boca Rattan. / Goblins are known to be the cleverest denizens of Faery / ever to cast havoc upon our world. For thousands of / years humans have been the victims of their / appalling tricks and annoyances, If you have not read any of Brian Froud’s books, I strongly / suggest you do a search on amazon or / any bookseller who carries his delightful books including / his pop-up books for young children. He is one of my / favorite authors of imaginative literature for children / of all ages. Froud is an English fantasy illustrator who lives / and works with his wife, Wendy Froud who is also / a fantasy artist. His work has been used as the / inspiration for creatures in films such as the / Dark Crystal and the Labyrinth starring David Bowie in / conjunction with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. He has also / worked with the American Writer Arie Berk on more / recent books, including Goblins and “The Runes / of Elfland”, and produced art books such / as Good Faeries/Bad Faeries. One of his / famous art books is simply titled Fairies. / Please view this in the large format.

Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery The Magic of the Forest Floor Goblin Forest Walk, The Blue Tier, North East Highlands National Park, Tasmania, Australia. As Is – Straight from the Camera The_Blue_Tier The Blue Tier has been the home to thousands of people who have lived, worked and died on the mountain. Tin was the reason the early pioneers came here. The tin lay in heaps behind rocks and in the creek and river beds. All the miners had to do was bag the ore up. / In their search for the tin-bearing rock, these early pioneers burnt most of the temperate rainforest which existed above the 600 metre level. When the mines were finished, the farmers over-grazed the grass areas which followed the burning, eventually the mosses took over. / Since the last grazing, around 1970, the mountain and its native animals have been successful in aiding the regeneration of the temperate rainforest. What you see today is the continuing struggle of the rainforest trying to return. / To appreciate the extent of the regeneration it is necessary to visit the various areas by following the well-defined walking tracks on the mountain. There are bogs, grassland, pure rainforest, regenerated rainforest, tea-tree swamps and areas dominated by celery top pine. Canon PowerShot A650 IS Shutter Speed: 1/60sec / Aperture: F4.8 / ISO: 320
Beyond the Great Hall through hidden door was a small room with this tiling on one wall. The remaining walls were painted the same red as the tile. When I say small I really mean small too. It’s height no higher than a tall human reaching up. More like a closet in size. I hid in this room along with Yarelis to hide from the Goblins. There was nary one torch to light the room but the the Portal glowed blood red in the dark. There was magic indeed in it and we were soon to find out just what kind of magic it was.
