I went to watch my son play hockey this evening (20.06.2009) – they won – and when they came off at half time, I had to stifle a laugh when i saw the the padding on the goalie’s leg protectors – it’s almost psychedelic! I’ve seen many different covers on the padding, they’re usually pretty “ordinary”, but this one takes the cake – I just love it. It’s so bright, but . . . on a bloke!!!! I hope you enjoy this spot of brightness and it brings a smile to you. Thanks for looking – all comments and criticisms are welcome and appreciated.

This is a slow shutter speed image of a goalie in a lacrosse game. Nikon D40X. I knew that taking an “ordinary” photo in a low light situation wouldn’t work. So I dialled down the shutter speed and let the small amount of movement work to my advantage.

I created this especially to enter in the What Is Your Favorite Sport Challenge. I never go to sporting events (I’m just not a sports-person at all!), so I didn’t have any images to enter. Soccer seemed like a good choice if I was going to try to draw something, given my meager drawing abilities…lol I hope I don’t offend any soccer-watchers or players out there with this one!
