This dreamy glade in Pisgah National Forest, North Carolina, gave me the feeling of being in two worlds at once – the “normal” world we live in and also a world filled with faeries, gnomes and is that a troll hiding in the forest?? I added the Orton effect with PhotoShop to give it an even more dream-like quality and enhanced the colors. This was taken in the early morning hours just after the sun rose. From the Black Jack Gnomes Collection, and NEW to Red Bubble, I am excited to introduce this design on the great shirts here at Red Bubble! / *NOTE: The lighter colors look better, and make a friendlier looking gnome silhouette. White and yellow are my personal favorites.

Couldn’t pass this up! Found this on a drive through a preserve here in Jacksonville, FL!
.......Once upon a time -a long time ago in the enchanted forest there lived three Gnomes called ‘Paddy, Pumpkin and Prof ..and they were the keepers of the ‘Key’......... Paddy was a charmer friend to all he did see. . Pumpkin was round and plump full of happiness and glee. . / Prof was thin and wiry a great thinker was he. . and so the story beginz…........ (An excerpt from my children’s book called ‘Adventures of the Gnomes’ ...a secret in the forest’...... ! .... watercolour on Bockingford paper…. ...Piano ..
Underneath the Eucalypts, / Upon the forest floor, / I came upon a tree trunk with a little wooden door… / I knocked on it and waited… / Though nobody was at home, / I knew it was the dwelling of a little forest gnome. Captured at Forth, Tasmania.
In a special place, deep in the woods, reside the faeries, I quite like their little homes! I like them so much, I shrink myself, dress in the most shimmering, translucent flower petals and trust me, they are really hard to remove from the stems when you stand no more than 8 inches tall! Finally, dressed appropriately, I tiptoe to the house of the Faerie King and Queen, nervously, I tap lightly on their door, hearing footsteps scurrying towards me, my heart beats harder and faster…will they let me in? / Location: somewhere in Minnesota
pastels/oil paint / I had a conversation with Roy Barry forever ago, in which he stated there was no such thing as a cool gnome. / I was intending to make a gnome to prove him wrong, but so far drawing one is as far as I got. / If he looks familiar, he should ;D / There are deeper expressions within this drawing but they are not mine to reveal. / I sent the original and this is the only photograph I have. / I don’t have ps and if i try to crop the corner out she’ll lose her head :/ / apologies for the quality of the image.perhaps the recipient will be kind enough to rephotograph it for me? :-D
You have to be very quiet….sitting for long lengths of time. Bring with you a little ale, a little cheese, and a little fresh crusty bread…...Place the food a good distance from you, and make sure your dogs and cats are put up….Singing, if you’re good at it, is a really good idea….but if you sing off key…...don’t risk it, they can get a bit….....nasty….if you sing off key. Better by far not to risk it. If you’re patient, you might be rewarded by having a wood gnome come out of the woodpile and eventually let you take a photo….... OR EVEN…
An illustration of Gundam.
another version of a shirt that someone requested. A collection of world of warcraft dance moves. If you like a single character I am happy to make one. Just message me. Of course I’ll enlarge it.

A tiny house built in the woods, the perfect size for the local faeries, I wish I could shrink and live in there with them!
A painting of Noel Fielding from the British comedy show The Mighty Boosh. I’m very pleased with this painting, and I hope you will like it too!
Meet Henry O’Donnell….my long-time Gnome friend who stands watch over our home. He was joined yesterday by a new little friend and some new really cool mushrooms! They now all live happily together amongst the grasses and rocks at the base of the birdbath….
Moogi…... Part of the very secretive sect of gnomes…They live almost exclusively in wood piles… Careful when approaching…if they’ve let you see them…...you’re in a very tenuous position. It can go either way…..Don’t move too quickly…..For Goodness sake, do NOT turn your back on them and don’t THINK of running…

This is my entry into the “Cats Outside” challenge in the group FOR THE LOVE OF CATS ….. / Peanut has ‘claimed’ these Gnomes as her friends. / No-one will be allowed access here from this day forth….... Peanut is our beloved “matronly’ feline…... she is our rescued baby – we are her 5th owner…... no cat should be subjected to this much handing about – she is just such a sweetie, but does need a little love and attention, or else she does tend to ‘bite the hand that feeds’..... / We love her to bits, and every night she jumps on my knee (whether I want her or not!!!) and we watch t.v. together. / All she asks for is a scratch under the chin and a tin (or 2, 3 or maybeeeee 5!!) of tuna with chicken!!! / We are unsure of her age (but one doesn’t ask a lady her age, does one?) – but we think she would have to be close to 10 or so… / Please meet our Peanut ….............
