  • This was taken one evening in Carrum, Victoria… and the cloud formation just seemed perfect for a dramatic Black & White

  • I like this image because it is one of those types of pictures where the mood of the picture changes depending on where you focus. If I focus on the darkness just above the water this picture is a little creepy and unsettling. If I focus on the light to the left of the bright blue it is just peaceful and if I look at the moon it is ethereal and unreal and calm.

  • Watercolour.

  • When rocks turn to monsters! I thought I would submit this for the Video Montage Group in the category MONSTERS, FANTASY, FOLKLORE. The scene was taken at Wilsons Promontory National Park and saturated in Photoshop.

  • Photograph taken in southern Iceland, near Vik. February 2008.

  • I’m not a beach person, never have been, but after reading Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s Gift from the Sea which was written on Sanibel/Captiva Island, Florida, I had a strong urge to go there. My husband and I took a belated 37th wedding anniversary trip to the islands which we thoroughly enjoyed. The sunrises and sunsets were a joyous sight for us, and this photo which I’ve titled “Last Light” is among my favorites as it symbolizes the way people cling to the last rays of light on the beach, squeezing in every available moment at the seashore. The area in the distance was a gathering place for fishermen who continued to cast till they could see no more.

  • To-day it was Catriona and my Wedding Anniversary so we decided to do what we love doing best and that was going for a long drive through the Mourne Mountains we spent the day going to all our favourite spots all bathed in glorious sunshine we went for dinner about 5 and then back into the mountains ,we ended up at Spelga dam and watched the sun go down from here and the view above was the last rays of the sun as it dissapeared behind the mountain ,My Anniversary Sunset a perfect end to a wonderfull day!!!

  • Well in photography anyway.. Combination of all my techniques in Photoshop applied to a sunset in East Lothian, Scotland. Curves, layer masks, flood plugin, gradients, textures, blurring, burning and smudging were used to enhance this image.

  • Taken the 14th March from the rocks near the Newcastle baths. Taken about 40 minutes befor actual sunrise. The clouds on the horizon made a great backdrop to the surf crashing onto the rocks. This Panoramic image was made with 2 RAW images processed in Photomatix Pro3. After the HDR was doen the image was then adjusted levels and saturation and then stitched in CS3. The ship you see was later taken and became the image I’m Leaving. The Raw image was taken with a Nikon D300.

  • Taken from North Berwick West Beach towards the Bass Rock. 30 second exposure on a calm morning.

  • Sunset at sea low level with the sea turning to gold

  • I had to pop down to Eastbourne, UK to collect an oven won on ebay. I took the hour before the collection to take some pictures of the pier, it was a tad windy but the sky was lovely. As it turned out the oven description was fraudulent so I didn’t get it in the end, but I did come away with something I liked better. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 24mm, f/9, 1/320 sec, ISO 500. No filters used. Dust and scratches removed in photoshop. Chromatic aberration removed from dark/light edges. • I played on these rocks as a child, even split my head open on many occasions. Everytime I go back to Fraserburgh, Scotland I love to come and sit here and watch the waves, boats and smell the air, plus I would have some Italian ice cream to keep me company, yes there is a fantastic Italian ice cream parlour there. I hope you like the shot, this one was in the morning. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 70mm, f/2.8, 1/8 sec, ISO 100. ND 6 used. Dust and scratches removed in photoshop. Saturation and Contrast +2 added in PS. • “An increase in the number of meteors at a particular time of year is called a meteor shower. Comets shed the debris that becomes most meteor showers. As comets orbit the Sun, they shed an icy, dusty debris stream along the comet’s orbit. If Earth travels through this stream, we will see a meteor shower. Depending on where Earth and the stream meet, meteors appear to fall from a particular place in the sky, maybe within the neighborhood of a constellation. Meteor showers are named by the constellation from which meteors appear to fall, a spot in the sky astronomers call the radiant.” From stardate.org
