Listen to the song here There is a long story behind this photo. A time, when I think about it, brought a lot of sadness to me. Things past cannot be changed, but we can learn heaps from the experiences. Yes I lamented and I learned a great deal. Today there was a tragedy / Underneath the bridge / A man walked / Cold and blue / Into La Ment / The sky coloured perfect / As the man slipped away / Waving with a last vanilla smile / Somewhere at a table / Two drowned fools / Smoking / Drinking water as they talked / Of how they loved our lady / And oh the smell as candles die One more ice cream river body / Flowed underneath the bridge / Underneath the bridge The Cure

I took this photograph while visiting my family in Switzerland. This is my aunt’s orchard, during one of those long, foggy winters when everything seems perpetually covered in hoarfrost. Treated in photoshop. Unfortunately, I took this before I upgraded to a Canon Rebel, so it’s low res and only available as a card here on RB, though I’ve successfully enlarged it to a 5×7.

Drops of rain on a pine tree…
The species inhabiting Kershmick, of the Dresham System, would be found to be compatible with Earthlings. Although less advanced than ours their civilisation is family unit oriented and progressive in the arts and study of nature. Their absolute dedication to the family unit puts marriage, and the bearing of offspring above all activities other than those of pure survival. This, however, often takes precedence over the natural selection of partners through compatibility and, what we know as, love. Many, like this young bride of the region known as Ravenswood, are forced into arranged marriages. Institutions that know no end unless brought about by the death of one of the union.
Your breath comes in gasps as you rush away from the crooked mansion and its gold-mad inhabitants. I just need a breath of fresh air to clear my head you think. Feeling trapped by the surrounding gloomy swamp you look back at the manor and it seems to glow evilly in the stormy night… you catch a ghostly glimpse of Rudy Styne- but how could that be? You just ran outside after seeing your best friend Lillian stuffing his dead body into a shadowy closet! You squeeze your eyes shut, shudder, and shake your head- when you look again he is gone… For a murder mystery Boredom Competition and adding a little more diversity to my work- have to keep people on their toes :) Created from 3 exposures of the building on a clear blue day and one of the tree and moon, took forever in photoshop :) See the second image (unless you’re not a fan of violence) The Butcher and the third and final part of the story Empty /

Inspired by god(?) knows what I took about three evenings to complete this drawing. The idea started with the left part, wanting to create some dramatic poses, but eventually got some more symbolic features… Full scan can be seen at: http://www.bruinevloot.nl/sebastiaan Indian ink on Studio Art 160Gr/m2 sketchpaper. about 40×30 cm or 16 by 12 inches… 2008. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 / For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: / Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. / / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / Canon 400d / /
