  • Late afternoon reflections of the sun on the buildings of downtown Chicago.

  • The gleam This capture depicts Eagan Range in one August day. I left to Grafton peak early in the morning. I mean still at night. The forecast promised showers. Well, it’s not the first time, I thought. It started to rain at dawn. Initially, it was a light, but intensive shower. When I got to the point I pulled off, but didn’t leave the paved road. I was waiting for looooong hours. The weather turned for the worse. It was noon and still no hope. The weather was something awful! It was a day when all dogs stay at home. But I had to return back. It was raining like billy-o. Windshield wipers didn’t help at times. Sometimes I had to pull off and do nothing, but wait. I drove very carefully. Heavy dark clouds were all around: in the sky, below the ridge, and even just above the valley. My trip was close to the end. Soon, the dramatic changes began as if somebody swept a wand. The rain unexpectedly has almost ceased. Even a few spots of the blue sky had opened. Soft orange gleam started to glow beneath the formation of a long dark mist just above the ground. I quickly pulled off, took my camera, zoomed the spectacular area, and made this shot. I hope you will enjoy the capture.
