Bacchus (Roman Myth names), the god of wine, was the son of Jupiter and Semele. Dionysus (Greek Myth names), the god of wine, was the son of Zeus and Semele. He represents not only the intoxicating power of wine, but its social and beneficent influences likewise, so that he is viewed as the promoter of civilization, and a lawgiver and lover of peace. / T_SHIRT / ALSO AVAILABLE / AKINOLAUDE /

I was coming home yesterday from an appointment downtown, / and happened to look over and see this place. It was completely / abandoned, along with garages, a barn and cars. Didn’t go in, (yet..heh) but I got a few good shots from the front. I added the flood..(to go with the title.) / / CS3/Corel/handheld/Samsung/HDR / I can’t even begin to list all of the things I did to this. / One filter conversion to the next applying and painting certain areas with the saturation brush, then repeating the process + / overlays & more fine tuning! Best viewed large. Side view of the three cascades at the top tier of National Falls, / Royal National Park just south of Sydney Australia. From here the water drops 25m to a couple of shallow pools before dropping over a 50m fall which is almost inaccessible. Working on finding a way to these large falls but they are in a ravine and haven’t succeeded yet. We’ve been in a long drought so these falls have been mostly non-existent for the last couple of years. It’s good to see them flowing so freely again. / Tv: 10secs / Av: f13 / ISO 100 / FL: 33mm

Rain drops on a window, forming a beaded-curtain effect with golden out-of-focus orbs from the patio outside. I had my camera with me while in a cafe with my daughter and my sister, and I spotted the raindrops … then those golden orbs appeared in the viewfinder too. A lucky bonus! / . / I’m delighted that this photo has been featured on RedBubble’s front page - / . / / .

“Harmony” is a mixed media production (ink, pastel, acrylic) on canvas textured paper, the idea at first was to create a feeling of stained glass…i have a love of stained glass, and transparent things….i love light filtering through…and how light plays….i was looking for a name for the painting today….and ‘Harmony’ just seemed to go ‘hand in hand’ with these three friends
