... or just smoke and mirrors? Rosa Cobos has written this moving poem as an answer to the question in the title: Up to this point.. having seen too much and too many… / having thought and dreamed about much and many.. / I can say that this is real.. / broken mirrors… / or reflections broken.. / pieces of Life.. / unseen by anyone.. / a show of shattered dreams.. / each one becoming alive.. / demanding your attention.. / It is real.. / for there is nothing .. / coming out of our minds.. / that is not real.. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- View Rosa’s amazing art

The artwork I liked best contained glass orbs floating on a still surface. I always thought they were so enigmatic… ...Stock Credits… / Background / Stock copyrights remain the property of their respective owners.

/ FEATURED IN THE GROUP: Top Shelf Wildlife & Nature / FEATURED IN THE GROUP: Butterflies, Skippers, Moths, & Other Winged Insects The common English name for this remarkable butterfly is glasswing, which in itself speaks volumes about the appearance of this small but unusual insect. However, it takes the romance languages to step in and give the butterfly the name which, for many, suits it best. The Spanish name for the glasswing is ‘espejitos’. Literally translated, this means ‘little mirrors’. Just a glance at the insect in question and one can imagine the thrill of pleasure when the moment of inspiration that came to its Hispanic name giver. If you want to see ‘little mirrors’ in the wild, however, you will have to take a trip – anywhere from Mexico to Panama in Central America will do the trick. Adults range from Mexico through Panama.G. oto visits common flowers like lantana, but prefers to lay its eggs on plants of the tropical nightshade genus Cestrum The red and purple striped caterpillars feed on these toxic plants and store the alkaloids in their tissues, making them distasteful to predators such as birds. They retain their toxicity in adulthood. The same alkaloids that make them poisonous also are converted into pheromones by the males, which use them to attract females. / G. oto adults also exhibit a number of interesting behaviors, such as long migrations and lekking among males. / Camera: Canon 400D / Lens: Canon Macro 100mm / Location: Butterfly Farm Cape Town South Africa / /
