The old cobalt pitcher and bowl were a wedding gift to my parents in 1940 from my paternal grand aunt Mary. My mother enjoys seeing it when she comes to the ranch for a visit.
Not half full, or half empty….but full! / Taken at a gem of a little restaurant called Fleur’s Place. perched on the edge of an idyllic bay further up the coast. / As the sun shone through the window onto the glass I was drawn to its reflections and the mellow warmth of the wooden table on which it stood. Sometimes we over look the simple beauty around us. / It also set me thinking that it is how we perceive ourselves and our lives…seeing your glass/life as full will make it that way.

Cosy evening with Brandy
Well, doing portraits is very difficult when the only flash you have is the onboard one and you get heaps of red-eyes from it. Luckily, that isn’t the case with this image. What is it? Well, its straws of course, with three lights that change colour of their own volition. This time two had a chat and decided to be red while the third was blue. All of this was placed behind a crystal ball….. or should that be a crystal ball was placed in front? Nevermind, you get the picture…. 1 October 2009 Featured in Blur 1 October 2009 Featured in Globes, Spheres and Curves
