You may think this is inspired by Dennis Gay’s “Dog Day Afternoon”, and it is in some ways. But I should have taken it anyway. / This man and his dogs I meet quite often. It’s really amazing to watch how he’s in contact with his dogs. They always run free without leashes, both on the beach and in the streets. I’ve seen him in busy streets on a bicycle with his dogs running freely on the pavement. He doesn’t seem to say a word to them, it just appears as if they are in perfect understanding. Even a cat crossing won’t lift an eyebrow on them. / When I meet them with my little dog on the beach, I first used to be nervous, but they don’t seem to care about my little, and sometimes annoying, dog. / He used to have five of them, but one must be retired, or maybe even buried.
