In reality, beyond the fibre optic cables of this whore-fucked, artistic, universe, I live with a man I wouldn’t hurt for the world, I don’t know or feel what it is to love him or anyone else, but I do know how much he loves me, he’d kill himself if I were to fuck him over… he came into my life at a time I was going to end it, he’s saved me a few times since, simply because he continues to love me unconditionally, even though I’m fucked up, a bitch and a ho, he could have left me in a hole to die five years ago, but he didn’t, instead he got on a plane, flew to NZ from another country for fuck knows whatever reason, and he’s stuck by me ever since. I have a psycho of a son I owe my life to because my shitty cycles and baggage became the excuse I needed to fuck up his life… I don’t want or need any other people in my life, I’m incapable of caring for the two men who are with me in real-time, let alone trying to conjure up feelings I’m incapable of feeling for anyone else, Life shouldn’t be hard work any more… All I need is my Art and my Writing… Tell me something fucked up like you’re going to stalk me down and find me and I swear that I’ll never fucking talk to you again, not EVER, I’ll just slam the door in your face and walk away without a backward glance… like you, and many others before and after us, I’ve been through my fair share of shit, and yes, some of that shit has involved being stalked and raped… Saying the kind of crap you say to me isn’t funny, I’m NOT fucking smiling, my life is boringly complacent now – but it’s SAFE, and safe suits me just fucking fine, I’m sick of violence, abuse, high drama and being fucked over, I have a man who sweats blood because every day he tries to keep me alive and on a level – and a son I owe my very existence to. That in itself is enough, if not, even more than I deserve… I only want to be left alone to recreate my Life in the form of art and words aside from that, I need nothing and nobody. So let me blow and ho suck you and fuck you laugh and make a public fool of myself but don’t ever fucking ever tell me that you’re going to find me and be with me. fuck you. fuck me. let me blow you instead. ;-)

well you all remember the terrible accident my brother-in-law had a few weeks back… / well the least I can say is that everything absolutely has it’s way in life… because how else would he have met his current girlfriend…(they are a couple from just a few hours young.. ain’t that sweet… so fresh and new) / She is a nurse at the hospital were he was at… and so she washed him on a daily bases (oh yeah.. she saw the whole thing ;-) and came to check on him etc…. / and when he was release from the hospital, she asked for his phonenumber.. and they have been calling and sending text messages ever since… and then she came over to his place for a real life chat and drink something… / and … just a few hours back, he phoned (yes I was the first to know!) me to say that they were together now… and that he is so happy! / And I am absolutely thrilled about it!! He really deserves a nice girl.. ‘cause he has had his share of bad luck with girls so.. this is a nice welcome present to him :) hurray!!

Just a bit of information about myself so you can all get to know me :). My name isn’t actually Leigh, it’s Erin. I go by Leigh sometimes online…it’s my middle name. I’m from a city in Ontario. I am 20 years old…but I’ll be 21 on January 26th/09 (born 1988). I’ve been doing graphic arts for almost 2 years and I’ve been doing visual art and amateur photography for as long as I can remember. I attend Fanshawe College for Multimedia Design and Production…but I’m not sure what to do with it. I’m thinking of going into Graphic design or Post Production editing next year but I’m not sure yet. I’m working on building a portfolio…but it’s still in the works. I’m becoming more interested in doing print graphics and/or video post production recently, and do not want to have anything to do with webdesign. Haha. My biggest inspiration/heros are Emy Storey and Tegan and Sara (surprise, surprise, they work together haha) When I do my photography I shoot with a Sony DSC H7 Bridge Camera. Not the highest quality camera, but for now it does the job. I do not enjoy labelling myself with any sort of identification regarding my sexuality. There’s no point…I’m just human like anybody else. I do however have an amazing girlfriend. Her name is Carlie and she’s probably the most amazing person I have ever met. I wouldn’t rather be with anybody else. She’s the only person for me. Carlie and I have currently been together for nearly a year. we met late January of 2008, and began dating on March 29th, 2008. She has a redbubble account on here under the name cforsythe for her photography. Check it out! Other hobbies include: Computer (redbubble, facebook), graphic design (obviously), tv watching, nintendo ds playing, listening to my ipod, sleeping (yes it’s a hobby haha) Interests include: Carlie, Cats (of which I have 4), graphic design, art, writing, photograhy, animals, music I have no tolerance for homophobia, racism, sexism, or anything that segregates somebody who’s an honest, kind person like anybody else. Everybody is human. So long as it’s not hurting anybody else, it shouldn’t be hurting you. I’m known for my love for the Nightmare Before Christmas, and the fact that I act much younger than I am. I like to have fun. I’m bubbly and a little silly, but not over the top. I just enjoy living life to the fullest, it’s nothing negative. My favourite colours are green, orange, and purple…but I like a lot of colours so long as they go nice together. Thank you to all who came to the opening and who have visited the exhibition so far. About 450 people visited the gallery on opening night. If any of you were there or have been to the gallery you’ll understand how insane it was at times. Often my space was packed and there was a steady flow of friends and family to greet as well as another steady flow of people I didn’t know giving me wonderful feedback about my work. Much of the feedback has mirrored the feedback that the images gained while they were on Redbubble. That people really related to the story of each piece. Though some reacted more strongly than others. The highlight for a friend was seeing someone with their friends suddenly react to a piece of mine by declaring “My girlfriend farted on my leg the other night!”. It seems she didn’t realise that she’d said it out loud as she turned red and hurried from the room leaving her friends behind. I also found it interesting that people had trouble believing that I was a) a man and b) single. A few people expressed their surprise that I was a man capable of such sensitivity and understanding of intimacy. However many more people started conversations with my by saying how wonderful my relationship must be or how lucky my boyfriend must be to have such a sensitive partner. To which I promptly corrected them – which usually had the effect of killing the conversation. I have to say I found this odd at the time. I had thought about what questions I might be asked and what answers I might give. Especially about the source of the thoughts written on the bodies. But I wasn’t expecting people to make assumptions about who I am as a person or what my life is like just based on the images. The other thing I felt uncomfortable about were fans. I’m not suggesting that the people I met will follow my career until the end, but just that while talking to me they were a bit starry-eyed with wonder and were hanging off my every word. I was in the gallery again today and the guy I was chatting to just seemed like he wanted the conversation to go on forever. Lastly, I have had my first gallery sale. While I appreciate the money and the recognition, what I have enjoyed most out of that experience was the person who bought it emailing me and explaining that what I had done had really touched him. And that he had bought the piece to give as a Valentine’s present for his partner. Because, to be honest, I am sick of seeing them. I have for the most part completed my journey with the concept and the pieces, but his enthusiasm after looking at the piece with fresh eyes has helped me re-establish a worth in the work that I think I had forgotten sometime after they’d gone up on the wall.

for some reason all my girlfriends tend to be lesbians. my first girlfriend had red hair and was really skinny and wouldn’t let me kiss her because she thought it was gross and that she would get germs so i was just like, whatever. we used to shoplift a lot and then especially anything heart-shaped that we saw in a store we would steal it so that was a lot of fun. one night we were wandering around and really bored so we walked around trying to get the car alarms to go off on all the fancy cars but none of them did so then we went back to this church and painted the toe nails of this statue of the virgin mary with black sharpie marker and we thought that was like, sooooo sneaky and we were all sneaking around like spies and climbing on things it was a lot of fun. so anyway that is like seriously one of my happiest memories ever.
