Self portrait - I love these magazines my Grandma gave them to me! all the ones I have are from the early 1940’s this one is my favorite, on the cover is Gloria Grahame she was in some really old films and one of them was It’s a Wonderful Life I can’t remember the other ones but I just love looking through these magazines!

I drew this a few years back when I was first experimenting with pen and watercolours. / I’ve always liked the drawing but not known what to do with it, so I’ve kept it simple and added it to the bubble!

I decided to make the most of the nice weather so my little girl & I played in the park.. I tried to take some good shots but she’s forever running from the camera, she’s very strong willed and everything always has to be her way so here it is! / P.S.. She’s also had a big hair cut this week :o)

Date: November 2002 Medium: Film Photography / (Pentax K1000, 400ISO Ilford B+W) Model: Suzi Description: / My original idea for this photograph was to use lines to distort and exaggerate the human form. I used body paint and ambient light from two 500W lamps to achieve this effect. I used a Hoya 4+ filter in the darkroom to boost the contrast.

/ Sailor Girl is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper, I used ink, pastel, and some acrylic…..inks are mainly black, acrylics are mainly white, you can see the canvas texture showing through the pastel, which gives it a nice textured appeal I am really into sailing boats, hope you like this one :D Here’s another one available in a print at last!

Ride Like the Wind is a card from the Beach Series and Inspired Series by Karin Taylor….. / in the dark of night she escapes suburbia to find the giant swell of the rolling ocean beckoning her from the shoreline…..she notices a makeshift board on the edge, where the waves ebb and flow in a cheeky hello…....bracing herself, she skims the board through the shallows and onto the wave, which picks her up as though it were cradling her in it’s arms, throws her forward and there she stands in all her glory, the moonlight guiding her way to another land, where in the soft glow of the morning light ~ life will be gentler, people kinder and her heart can mend…....
